Set in the 1950s, Jeffrey Fairbrother takes a job as entertainment manager at Maplins Holiday Camp where the guests are the last thing on the mind of the staff. Whilst "in charge" he attracts the amorous attentions of funny Welsh-talking Gladys Pugh, the Chief yellow coat.
