Ric fears for his health, leading him to withdraw just as his granddaughter goes into premature labour. Cameron steps in to take charge, and forces Ric to face up to his fears. Essie's false claim to be Isla's adoptive mother stands to be exposed when the girl requires emergency surgery, and Chloe throws herself back into work in the hope of moving on from Evan - but is gripped by a paranoid belief that someone is spying on her.

But when she goes missing, Donna has to be brave enough to convince them both to face their fears.

Jac returns from holiday, and asserts her authority over an overworked Kian.

Zav and Cameron try to save the life of a girl who has been stabbed, only to discover a disturbing truth behind the attack.
