Semir und Paul mischen sich undercover unter die LARP-Spieler, um die Entführte zu finden. Doch sie ahnen nicht, dass die Verbrecher etwas weit Gefährlicheres planen und einen Pockenvirus freisetzen wollen.

Ben and Jenny attend a concert by the band 'Brushes', which had great success at the end of the 90s. Guitarist Mark Heitmüller was also a celebrated superstar at the time. Since a burst appearance and the separation from singer Tom seven years ago, however, the band and Mark's life have gone steeply downhill and the "brushes" have gradually disappeared. But Ben has remained true to the band and is looking forward to the gig. The musical feast for the ears, however, is quickly over when brutally murdered Lisa Schmidt, ex-wife of singer Tom and former Groupie der Brushes, behind the stage during the poorly attended club appearance. Mark, who has found the seriously injured woman and in whose arms she finally dies, comes into the possession of a key that Lisa gives him shortly before her death. This apparently belongs to a safe deposit box. He has no idea yet that he and his ex-band colleague Tom will be in mortal danger from now on. (Text: RTL)

The 18-year-old Sarah Schubert disappeared without a trace. Her father, Mathias Schubert, starts looking for her, which is actually not unusual for a father. But Mathias Schubert is a knacki and he only has two days off. So he has 48 hours to find his daughter. In Sarah's apartment, Schubert meets a young man who is about to remove traces of blood that are apparently connected to a murder case that Ben and Semir are currently investigating. They soon realize that the murder and Sarah's disappearance are connected. The search for Sarah leads both Schubert, Semir and Ben to Daniel Lindlaub, who runs a dangerous human trafficking ring: young women are selected online, then kidnapped and sold to rich customers abroad. The Autobahncops and Schubert have little time to find Sarah before she - together with other women - is to be taken out of the country.

Stefan Hausmann, a former false witness, is hit by a truck while driving on the highway, shortly after receiving an anonymous phone call. The caller, Erik Dekker, accuses himself of murdering Hausmann. Dekker, who was wrongly convicted years ago for the murder of a gas station attendant, now seems to be embarking on a campaign of revenge. Tom and Semir are unable to prevent the assassination attempt on public prosecutor Wolf, who is seriously injured. Dekker eventually kidnaps the last witness and Engelhardt, whose life is now also in danger.

After a second dead prostitute, they suspect Schröder. But clues lead to the head of the shipping company, Katharina Brenner, who murdered in revenge for her husband. Andrea goes it alone and finds herself in great danger.

Shortly after a driver has filled up at a Prooil station, his car explodes. Semir and André take on the case. What initially looks like a normal accident takes on a new dimension: a highly explosive additive has been added to Prooil's fuel. When the two detectives pay a visit to the company, they notice that the boss Dr. Pott and his security officer Victoria Götzinger are trying to cover something up. André and Semir suspect that the company is being blackmailed. In fact, they observe Ms. Götzinger handing over money, but it fails. The blackmailer then increases his demands and threatens further attacks. Several cars explode. The detectives want to lure the perpetrator out of his shell by handing over money again. But they are dealing with a clever opponent...

During a chase on the highway, the professional killer "Joker" is killed in a taxi. André and Semir find weapons in the dead man's luggage. It quickly becomes clear that Joker was commissioned to carry out a murder and that the client is looking for a new killer. Without support from the BKA, André and Semir investigate independently. Semir goes undercover as a professional killer to expose the client, but the plan fails and his life is in danger.

Olaf Henke and Florian Klöckner, two free climbers, witness a murder on a motorway bridge. The gangster Wieland throws Florian off, but Olaf escapes. Semir and André come across Olaf, who tells the story, but they doubt his version. Olaf comes under suspicion because there is no evidence of murder and there is a jealousy story. While he tries to prove his innocence, the gangsters are on his heels.

A male body is found in a wooded area next to the motorway. It looks as though he was literally executed. The investigation reveals that the perpetrator is obviously a woman who the dead man, Matze, picked up as a hitchhiker. André and Semir reconstruct Matze's last journey. At the gas station where the dead man was last seen, they come across important clues: the perpetrator is apparently the young gas station attendant named Anna Terjung. While they are still looking for a connection between the victim and the perpetrator, another murder occurs. André and Semir are now convinced that they are on the trail of a serial killer and believe that this is Anna. But when they get to their gas station, Anna has disappeared without a trace. A feverish search for the perpetrator begins.

A Leopard battle tank is stolen and driven by Gerd Bausching, an officer, who goes on a rampage on the highway. André and Semir learn that Bausching wants revenge on Hubert Neuber, a bank robber whose robbery killed his daughter a year ago. When Bausching arrives in front of the prison and fires shots, an innocent prisoner, Jan Ecker, is buried and put in mortal danger.

Semir desperately searches for André while Berger collects the ransom and distributes weapons. In the cave, André recognizes Berger's accomplice Salvatore as the murderer of Berger's son. When Berger learns that his son died in an assassination attempt of his own, he freaks out, launches a rocket and flees. After a dramatic chase, Semir shoots Berger, but André is shot and falls into the sea, where he disappears.

A young couple has been abused for illegal drug experiments. While 18-year-old Yoko dies as a result, her boyfriend Lukas is brought to hospital in time. Unter dem Druck der Öffentlichkeit schlägt Max einen Journalisten nieder und wird suspendiert. Der neue Leiter Kramer reaktiviert daraufhin Semir, der mit Vicky den Fall übernimmt.
