Richie's friend, Jeff, enlists his help to find his father, who has vanished while aboard an aircraft carrier. Professor Keenbean's all purpose gadget kit helps locate Admiral Hook and thwart his plans to control the world's seas.

Richie makes two trips to the robot bank teller whose wicket is inside a giant piggy bank on the Rich estate. On both trips, he withdraws $10,000 in one-dollar bills. The reason for his withdrawal is to allow Dollar to reach a special vault where his bones are held.

Professor Keenbean shows Richie his latest invention, a super-fast computer that is designed to figure out complex math problems super fast. Richie tries out the new computer with an extremely complex math problem. The computer says and displays the result as "PUH-LENTY".

At a department store, the kids are eager to see Santa, mentioning their wish lists to each other. But one boy discovers that Richie and Santa have switched roles - Santa is sitting on Richie's lap, giving a long list of items.

Reggie Van Dough wants to brag to Richie about his new camera which has so many different features. Richie then says that his camera is not that special, other than the fact it spews pictures (similar to a Polaroid Land camera) complete with a solid gold frame.
