Welcome to the PB&J Otter guide at TV Tome. 1997 must have been a good year for New York-based animation studio Jumbo Pictures, Inc. The company was enjoying the success of its recently renewed "Doug", and was also working on producing "101 Dalmations: The Series" - which premiered later that year. 1997 was also the year that the company's founder, Jim Jinkins, created the upbeat, musical animated series "PB&J Otter" for the Disney Channel. Developed with the cooperation of Harvard Cognitive Skills Group, Project Zero, the show premiered in March of 1998. "PB&J Otter" tells the continuing story of the day-to-day adventures of three young Otter siblings - older brother Peanut, younger sister Jelly, and baby sister Butter - and their friends and family, living life in a small community known as Lake Hoohaw. Other characters include PB&J's friends: sarcastic Flick Duck; slightly paranoid Munchy Beaver; and Pinch Raccoon, a lover of anything dainty. Pinch's r

A.) While playing in the yard, Jelly finds and captures a grasshopper. And when it manages to secretly escape, Jelly begins to panic, fearing that the grasshopper was maybe a victim of an alien abduction. B.) PB&J keep watch over Mayor Jeff's pompalope melon patch. A.) Flick dares Peanut to go along with him to a dangerous and forbidden cave. B.) What begins as a plan for a quiet Otter family camping trip eventually turns into a neighborhood affair, when Peanut and Jelly invite all their friends along.
A.) A fishing contest is held on the lake, and the Snooties hope to win using the fanciest high-tech fishing equipment that money can buy. The Otters, however, prove to be tough opponents to beat, just by using a simple homemade fishing pole. B.) When a rainy day washes out the family's plans to go see a performance of ""The Sleeping Beagle"" on the Show Boat, PB&J decide to stage their OWN performance of the story.
A.) A make-up-your-own-dance contest is held for all the kids in Lake Hoohaw, and this causes Peanut to completely flip out. You see, he thinks that he can't dance. B.) Sure, to Flick it's great fun for a while...until he spots a REAL bear walking around in the yard.

When the Snooties' new high-tech video game short-circuits and causes a neighborhood blackout, PB&J try to show Ootsie and Bootsie that they don't need fancy toys to entertain themselves. Using nothing but your imagination can be great fun, instead.
