#1 - Tarzan and the Missing Link

Season 1 - Episode 29 - Aired 10/5/2001

In this episode, Philander blames all of his problems on Archimedes Porter and his ""missing link"" son-in-law, Tarzan. Then Philander even knocks his experiment table over and loses...Einstein's Theory of Relativity? Nonetheless, two cockney thugs barge in, trying to collect their dues from Philander who obviously doesn't have the money. Philander then tries to convince the bounders that Tarzan is a missing link, and he persuades them to follow him into the jungle. Meanwhile, Archimedes is feeling rather distraught over his problems ""fitting-in"" in the jungle, so he dons a loincloth and tries to at like Tarzan. Tarzan and Jane though decide to go berry picking with Tantor and Terk instead. This then leads to an idyllic scene where Tarzan rests his head on Jane's lap, while they share berries. (Very ""B. Lagoon,"" I think. lol ;) Anyway, when Philander and the thugs reach Africa, it's old Archimedes they see ""swinging from vines"", not Tarzan. Philander though tries to convince the thugs th

#2 - Tarzan and the Mysterious Visitor

Season 1 - Episode 35 - Aired 10/12/2001

This is a very interesting episode indeed. It starts off with this frustrated writer, named Ed, who needs to find inspiration. He happens across Dr. Philander's article about Tarzan possibly being a missing link. Ed then tracks down Philander in a run-down apartment building/flophouse, and Philander goes on to tell of his adventures in Africa, meeting Tarzan, exploring Pellucidar, being embarrassed by the photos of the baby baboon, etc. (I'm surprised though that he didn't go on to talk about how he'd captured Maghani, the Silver ape, and almost threw Tarzan overboard after he'd been injured.) Anyway, Ed finds Philander's story of Pellucidar a bit too unbelievable so he leaves. But a waitress convinces him to at least ""check it out"". After all, Philander's photo features a real guy in a real loincloth surrounded by real apes, doesn't it? Ed proceeds to sail to Africa, where he meets up with Hugo and Hooft, who recall their own adventures with Tarzan, escaping the wild animals and their French Foreign Legion Captain.

Following the Proffesor's latest (unsuccessful) attempts to make tea, he goes to the trading post to try to persuade Dumont to trade something for a box of Earl Grey. Dumont obliges, when Jane persuades him that 'a good deed can be its own reward', which Tarzan overhears her saying. As they are about to leave, none other than those less-than-friendly-diamond-miners, Neils and Merkus arrive. They want to search for their lost diamonds, and Tarzan reluctantly allows them on the condition that they leave the gorilla family alone. While mining, Neils and Merkus are attacked by Tublat, the banished bull-ape enemy of Tarzan and family. However by some lucky turn of fate, the dynamite goes off close to the creature and injures him, and the devious miners decide to cage him and sell him. Tarzan arrives, and tells Neils and Merkus that he doesn't mind if they take Tublat, or even kill him. When the gorillas find out that Tublat is gone, they celebrate, but Tarzan feels guilty and leaves the
