Rocko is a wallaby who has emigrated to America from Australia. He lives in O-Town and tries to get through life but, of course, comes across a multitude of dilemmas and misadventures he must get through. Other characters include Rocko's best friend, Heffer, a steer who has been raised by wolves, Filbert, a paranoid hypochondriac turtle, Rocko's faithful (but none-too-bright) dog Spunky, and Ed Bighead who detests Rocko and hates having him for a next door neighbor. On this show, Rocko has such adventures as trying to adapt to a new vacuum cleaner, having Heffer move in temporarily after his parents kick him out, and going to a movie theater.
Heffer becomes a security guard and finds it isn't all he expected it to be, in fact, it's quite scary.
Rocko decides that it's finally time to take a trip to the ol' laundromat (since some of his clothes are beginning to actually get up and walk around the room!)
A pesky bug (the flecko) tries to keep Rocko awake.
Rocko tries to make it to the local supermarket in time for a massive 99%-off sale.
Rocko has to raise money so he has a garage sale. He finds that his old belongings mean more to him than he thought and he can't sell anything.
Rocko is getting his picture taken for the O-Town newspaper. Unfortunately, it's a bad hair day and he needs help.
Filburt comes of age and must go to the islands to spawn. He doesn't want to, for fear of growing up. Filburt cannot resist his urges and finds that growing up isn't so bad.
Rocko is competing in the Jack Hammer finals, but has a problem with his eyesight.
Rocko feels very short until he does something very big.
A.) Rocko and Heffer get stuck on a senior citizen cruise with Heffer's Grandpa. After a trip through the Bermuda Triangle they learn what it's like to be old and have a new founded respect for the aged.
Rocko has to deliver comic books over the snowy mountain. Heffer and Rocko decide to spend the extra time (and money) doing a little skiing.

Rocko becomes sick with the flu, and if he doesn't get better soon, he'll miss the chance to go to the big WWWWF wrestling show.
Rocko would love to be able to go to a drive-in movie, but it looks like he'll have to settle for the huge matinee complex at the mall. He and Heffer go there, and experience first-hand the ""modern movie-going experience"".
Rocko's car gets impounded and he has to rely on public transportation to get to work.
Heffer invites Rocko over to his parents' house for dinner. There, Rocko sees just how dysfunctional a family can be. After Rocko tells Heffer that he is actually adopted, he sadly runs away to find his biological family.
Rocko is erroneously going to be deported, so Filburt marries him in order for Rocko to stay in the country.
The Elves move in next door to Rocko. Rocko invites everyone, including the Elves, to Rocko's Christmas party. When Ed Bighead spreads a nasty rumor about the Elves, nobody shows up.

Rocko gets fired from his job at a huge Comic Book emporium, and subsequently sets out to seek other avenues of employment. He eventually lands a job at Conglom-O, where Ed Bighead is eager to place him in a dangerous occupation - as a product tester.
Rocko tries to get over his crush on his beautiful next-door-neighbor, Melba. Heffer tries to help by setting Rocko up with an assortment of dates (via personals ads), but each and every one of them ends in disaster.
Rocko has to have his appendix removed. Rocko hallucinates and makes friends with Pinky, his appendix.
Filburt cons Rocko into being his patient for a big dentristry exam he has to take.
Rocko and Heffer go on a road trip.
Rocko and Spunky take a trip to the beach, in order to avoid a day of brutal heat.
