Series introduces the Robertsons, a Louisiana bayou family living the American dream as they operate a thriving business while staying true to their family values and lifestyle. Ask anyone in Louisiana and they'll tell you that the bayou state's favorite first family doesn't live in the governor's mansion but in the backwoods, where the Robertsons' rags-to-riches story is still unfolding. A homegrown mom-and-pop operation, Duck Commander has become a sporting empire by fabricating top-of-the-line duck calls and decoys out of salvaged swamp wood. This newly minted multimillionaire family is kept in line by business-savvy Willie, who runs Duck Commander with the help of his brother Jase, their respective wives Korie and Missy, patriarch and founder of the company, Phil, and uncle Si. Together they run a booming business that employs half their neighborhood, but at the end of the day, you can find the whole family around matriarch Miss Kay's dinner table.

But when Kay starts bombarding the family with text messages, Willie begins to regret this decision.

When Jase finds out Jep is planning to buy his kids a fancy playhouse from a catalogue, he and the guys decide to build one for Jep themselves. But when the playhouse ends up looking more like a military-style duck blind, Jep calls in backup to get the project done. Meanwhile, Phil and Si enlist Willie to help them brush some blinds on the land, but when the project takes longer than expected, Willie becomes unnerved, causing Phil and Si to tease Willie like he's a little kid.

Meanwhile, when Mia and Priscilla spend the night at Phil and Kay's house, Phil scares them with a ghost story, causing the girls to get revenge on Phil while he's asleep.

After seeing footage Jep shot using a GoPro, Si decides he wants to use the camera to record a day in his life. Meanwhile, Willie gets lost while taking John Luke and Sadie to an LSU football game, but in an effort to save the day, Willie pulls over and they have their own private tailgate on the side of the road.

When Willie and Jase argue over an old G.I. Joe toy, it leads them into a debate over who would make a better soldier. Meanwhile, Jep recruits Martin to help him lay a sidewalk in his front yard, but when they run into some problems, Jep must call on Phil to come save the day.

Meanwhile, when Uncle Si spends the day over at Phil and Kay's, Jep stops by with the kids to keep them away from Jessica, who has taken ill. To entertain the kids, Si takes them outside for a treasure hunt on Phil and Kay's land. But, in typical Si fashion, the treasure hunt has some interesting twists and turns, leading them to the ultimate treasure--fun!
