Camp Lazlo is about a group of boys at camp dealing with the everyday activites except the main star, Lazlo has a tough time with structure, rules and routines of the camp. Often to bring Lazlo back down to earth is Raj, a giant elephant who hates a mess, cowers from snakes, bugs, and hates being alone which is why he often follows his friends -- and getting in trouble with them. Clam is the third member of the group in the Jelly Cabin trio. Although he is often described as "four cents short".

Camp Kidney is slated for demolition, so Lazlo and his friends try to prevent this from happening. To do so, Lazlo, Clam, Raj, and Patsy must find the rock of hope, whick leads to the big bean scout jamboree. They do so, and they meet the big bean (who is puny) and says that he shut down Camp Kidney. After Raj reads Lazlo's neckerchief and it says a poem, the big bean opens up its heart, reopening Camp Kidney.

Aliens abduct Samson and want cheese. Finding Samson of no use to them, the aliens release him. Upon his return, he finds three new campers arrive from Canada, and Samson is certain that they are the aliens in disguise, so he sets out to prove it.

Commander Hoo-Ha comes to Camp Kidney to introduce his daughter, which was the mongoose Patsy Smiles. Patsy then gives a Valentine to Lazlo, in which he rejects it because he doesn't want to get in trouble with her father. However, Hoo-Ha finds it and gets angry. Overreacting, he tries to find the campers who wrote it, believing it was for Patsy. He does various tests and harsh deeds to try to get someone to confess. In reality, Patsy knows that she wrote it.
