The episode starts with a short recap of where we left off last season: Bud & PO Coates walking along a dirt road enroute to attend the ground-breaking of the new school, when they spot a small boy playing in a field that had yet to be cleared of mines. As Coates runs for help, there is an explosion behind her. She turns in time to see Bud injured in the explosion and runs to his side. Coates insists that Bud must be transported on the helo that brought them in, that Bud won't be able to wait for the proper medevac chopper. Bud is airlifted to a field hospital, critical, but still alive. As luck would have it, ZNN reporter Stuart Dunston just happens to be at the base camp when Bud is brought it. Dunston reports the arrival of an injured JAG officer that was brought it, but does not report the name. Chegwiggen advises Harriet, but reminds her he is still on the Seahawk. He starts by contacting Otto Carson, another IRS agent, and offers to be his ""get out of jail""-card, if he helps him create agent Marshall's perfect ""client"". Julie is in an accident when she apparently mixes alcohol and prescription drugs. She is put in jail temporarily until Cross and Hoffman show up. Lester ends up taking her home. Hoffman find out that it was Sydney, (the intern/leak) and fires him. Sydney said that he wanted to get revenge on the host of Deadline America. Neil and Hoffman come before the judge yet again to argue the admissablity of Susan Dominque's (the nurse, working for Graham Lester, who said that she heard Neil confess to the murder) testimony. FBI catches a suspected serial murderer through identification of his shoes. But after he's been jailed, evidence surfaces that exhonorates the suspect, and claims that the real serial murderer is dead. The FBI profiler, Dr Walker, doesn't want to admits his mistake and buries all evidence. When Mr Chapel finds out about this, he and KC, blackmails the second in command at the FBI profiling division. Chapel then starts to harass Dr Walker over the phone, and teasing him about catching the wrong man. He uses the favour of a client to make it appear that the killer has struck again, just to tick Dr Walker off, but Walker is no fool, and uses his knowledge to profile Chapel.
