Han Soo-ho and Han Kang-ho are identical twins, but they live totally different lives. Han Soo-ho works as a judge and he is guided by principles. After being confronted by Soo Ho, Kang Ho visits So Eun and almost confesses his true identity but holds on to the thought as they embrace their first kiss. After having to defend his name on the news, Joo Eun calls Soo Ho to break up. Shortly after, she runs into Soo Ho’s mother who agrees with her decision knowing Soo Ho had claimed to everyone that he was an only child. Meanwhile, Park Jae Ho’s wife and brother continue to conspire to kill Han Soo Ho, the judge responsible for sentencing Park Jae Ho to death.

Meanwhile, now that he’s a free man, Sa Ma Ryong visits his ex and then resumes working on So Eun’s missing sister case that he started before being incarcerated.

Kang Ho rushes over to So Eun’s house to console her for not letting her know of his whereabouts. When he arrives, So Eun explains to Kang Ho that since he had resigned, they are free from any obligatory professional relationships and invites him to stay the night. He declines but promises to come back when the time is right. Later, Kang Ho steps in the courtroom for the last time to read his final verdict on the Paramedic Lee Soon Chul case.

Having Kang Ho promise to never appear in front of her again, So Eun agrees to go meet her sister for the first time since her disappearance. Joo Eun is picked to study overseas in Germany and visits Soo Ho to let him know. Soo Ho realizes his mistakes as a person and as a judge, especially a bribe he had accepted and plans to amend his wrongs.

So Eun reads a letter left by Kang Ho and finally finds out what he had wanted to tell her. She is brought to tears by the letter and wishes him to be by her side. Despite all her troubles, So Eun gets one step closer to her dreams and becomes a judiciary researcher. Finally reunited with her sister, So Eun enjoys a home cooked meal with her sister when she comes home. Meanwhile, Kang Ho gets certified to work as a chef.

So Eun pleads with Kang Ho not to send her away to work under a different judge. Kang Ho, on the other hand, tells her it will be for her best, plus, he says he won’t be around much longer. Oh Sang Chul tries to keep So Eun from falling for Kang Ho telling her he is a corrupt judge who accepts bribes. So Eun disregards what Sang Chul has to say and goes on believing in Kang Ho.

After leaving So Eun’s house, Kang Ho gets abducted. Luckily, not far away is Soo Ho, who follows the car to a secluded area. The culprit, a brother of a man Soo Ho had sentenced to death, sees the two Soo Hos and cowardly runs away, leaving Soo Ho and Kang Ho together. Soo Ho leaves Kang Ho alone as soon as the sun rises. Kang Ho wakes up without any recollect of what had happened to him but finds a small gas canister in his car that he takes to Mr. Mantis for help.

So Eun applies to be a judicial researcher and does well in her interview. However, she ends up having to rub shoulders with Prosecutor Hong Jung Soo again, and unsurprisingly, he makes another pass at So Eun. This time, So Eun won’t stand for it and gives him a blow to his neck. She declares to sue him with sexual assault, but things turn ugly for So Eun’s as it backfires on her. Meanwhile, Kang Ho works hard to become a chef and possibly creates a hit dish.

Kang Ho calls up Mr. Mantis to see if he would take on the job of digging up dirt on the Park Hae Na's case for him, but Mr. Mantis refuses. Mr. Mantis is only interested in starting a family leaving Kang Ho alone to ponder his hunch. Meanwhile, So Eun asks him to look into another case involving a blind girl and her mother that Soo Ho had started long ago.

Despite her nagging and discrimination between Soo Ho and him, he still stays the night and watches over her. Oh Sang Chul’s plan to remove his father from power moves forward with the help of Hong Jung Soo. Meanwhile, Oh Sang Chul proposes marriage to Song So Eun and gets turned down.

Kang Ho confidently faces the disciplinary committee with full support from So Eun. To their surprise, Kang Ho and So Eun see Prosecutor Hong Jung Soo entering the disciplinary meeting and question his appearance. Like usual, Hong Jung Soo makes a pass at So Eun that aggravates her. The review is short-lived but becomes hectic as Kang Ho openly expresses he had accepted bribes and verbally attacks Jung Soo for sexually harassing women.

Han Kang Ho is embarrassed and ashamed of showing up drunk at So Eun’s house late last night and even more so for sleeping there. He apologizes to So Eun, only to have her assure and console him that everything is all right. The celebrity drug case resumes, where Kang Ho tests his suspicions on Lee Ho Sung connection with Park Hae Na but ends up without any support from the prosecution, and is left questioned as to why he has delayed his ruling.
#22 - Threats Work Better Than Bribes

Lee Ho Sung’s case is at a critical stage. With word that Min Goo Nam was subpoenaed on behalf of the presiding judge, Oh Sang Chul forces Min Goo Nam to leave the country and miss the hearing. Kang Ho realizes his tactics aren’t convincing enough and resorts to his old self to change the minds of the defendants. Meanwhile, the assailant who attacked Kang Ho makes his second move.
