In Trading Spaces, two sets of neighbors redecorate a room in each others' home. Teams have only two days and a $2000 budget to complete the redesign with the help of a professional designer and carpenter. Teams have no control over the redecoration in their own home but can give input before the decorating begins. They’ll spend the night in one another’s homes and aren’t allowed to reenter their own home until the reveal. Paige Davis returns as the host of the new season in 2018.

Homeowner Pamela and her roommate, Monica, are trading spaces with Pamela's boyfriend, Andy, and his best friend, Don. Pamela and Monica work with designer Frank Bielec and carpenter Amy Wynn Pastor to renovate Andy's game room. Says Pamela, ""When I saw Frank in Andy's house, I wanted go screaming out of the house like a Munch painting."" Amy Wynn has her work cut out for her, as Frank's plans call for a loft bed, bar and new basin sink. Andy and Don work together with designer Genevieve Gorder and carpenter Faber Dewar to give Pamela's bedroom an Old World, romantic feel. For his part, Faber heads to a salvage yard to search for scrap wood he can use for two armoire doors. But then the plot thickens ... A few minutes into filming, Faber receives a call from his fiancee that their baby might be on the way. Nervously, Faber continues working … and waiting for the phone call that will make him a father.

Our homeowners are ready for a change, but will the notoriously laid-back Key West spirit mix well with the amount of work this show needs to complete in only 2 days? Initially off to a smooth start, each team runs into some rough water. Edward's homeowner, Heather, proves to be quite dangerous with a power tool. And Christi goes way over budget. Hopefully she will be able to scale back her grand idea and still deliver the beautiful, romantic bedroom that's in her vision. Luckily, host Paige Davis and carpenter Carter Oosterhouse pitch in when the ""all hands on deck"" call goes out, but will they be enough extra help to rescue these designs? Two musicians, a dancer and a jewelry designer lend their talents to Trading Spaces designers to create a masterpiece or two. Designer Barry Wood's peach of an idea starts to go to the pits when he has trouble fitting all the pieces of his room together. Laura Day leaves her creative homeowners feeling more like apprentices than the artists they are. Luckily, host Paige Davis and carpenter Faber Dewar are there to drill, saw and smooth the finishing touches. A colorful episode that could brighten up even the darkest room!

Designer Frank Bielec has a ""ghastly"" time trying to re-do a breakfast nook while Kia Steave Dickerson gets into the ""spirit"" by trying to transport a master bedroom back to a previous era. Thankfully, we have fearless host Paige Davis and carpenter Amy Wynn Pastor to pitch in and to make sure our teams don't get scared off before they finish their rooms. This episode of Trading Spaces will feature yet another first: we will be redecorating rooms in a women's shelter outside of Little Rock, Ark. We have four very enthusiastic and deserving teammates on this one. Joyce and Vebra are staff members at CASA, Inc., a shelter serving women who are seeking to escape abusive relationships. Joyce and Vebra not only work at the shelter, but they are on call several days a week and live there part time. Vebra, a former victim of abuse, decided to make women's advocacy her life's work after she received help getting out of an abusive relationship. She now spends her time helping other women reclaim control over their lives. Together, she and Joyce will redecorate a room in the ""residents"" side of this very large house, which is in need of some TLC. On the other team are Tammy and Leslie, two women who currently reside at the shelter. Trading Spaces rolls into Seattle once again, and in spite of a little rain, manages to completely transform two rooms in only 2 days. Designers Christi Proctor and Edward Walker have their hands full this time with their fun-loving party-hearty homeowners. One of the great new twists on Trading Spaces this season is the possibility of a ""bonus"" budget to redecorate your room. In this episode we roll doubles and it's a mighty big budget. But money doesn't buy you extra time and Christi has a race to the finish even with the luxury of a larger budget. Meanwhile, Edward has mucho carpentry to keep carpenter Amy Wynn Pastor busy right down to the end. Trading Spaces invades the Pacific Northwest in this episode that finds identical twin, Norwegian-born sisters living directly across the street from each other. The husbands are along for the ride and anything goes in this episode. Designers Barry Wood and Christi Proctor team up with carpenter Carter Oosterhouse to remake a family room and a dining room. Barry should change his last name from Wood to Concrete after this episode as he tackles a highly unusual and challenging project in his dining room. Is there enough time and sand and cement for his vision to come to life? Meanwhile, Christi — always the optimist — tackles an entire kitchen redo. If she were a classical composer this room would be called the ""Unfinished Symphony."" Host Paige Davis tries her best but sometimes even she can get our designers to the finish line. Trading Spaces kicks off a brand-new season in suburban Philadelphia, Pa. Preston and his wife, Rachelle, are trading with their neighbors B.J. and Sue. Preston will put in some extra-long days because he has to get up at 3 a.m. to go work on his morning radio show. And because he couldn't take time off, he's doing his show live from his neighbor's house. Speaking of 3 a.m., that's when neighbor B.J. starts work on her overnight job that her boss wouldn't let her out of, and so for part of the time, Sue has to carry the weight of redecorating without her teammate. In spite of being shorthanded, designer Hildi Santo Tomás manages to pull off a kitchen redo that is pretty radical. Imagine that from Hildi! Next door in Laurie Smith's family room, carpenter Carter Oosterhouse is faced with a daunting list of projects.

Even though there are more carpentry projects than normal, Ty and Carter still have time for a dance-off. You'll have to see it to believe it.
