Also, Bulk & Skull take a time-out from bossing Goldar & Rito around to give their Patrol Bike a test run, which doesn't turn out as planned.

But soon, they discover not only has the Zeo Crystal been dropped by Rito and Goldar as they fled, but that in an underground tunnel beneath the wreckage, a hidden chamber holds the fate of both Alpha 5 and Zordon. Up on the moon, Rita & Zedd's celebration over bringing an end to the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers is brought to an abrupt halt, when the evil Machine Empire appears, and proceeds to attack the Lunar Palace! The robotic rulers want the Earth as the last link in a chain of galaxies they've already enslaved. With their footsoliders, known as Cogs, and their battle machines, called Quadrafighters, they send the former would-be world conquerers packing. Meanwhile, Bulk & Skull get their very own Patrol Bike (some assembly required), Goldar & Rito, now both harmless and memoryless, end up on their doorstep!

Sadly, Joey proves to be a nightmare for both Tommy and Kat in more ways than one when his voice is increased ten fold by the sound amplifier of the evil BooHoo The Clown, resulting in massive tremors whenever the baby cries. Meanwhile, Bulk & Skull make a mess so big on Lt. Stone, he sticks them with the task of handing out textbooks!

Meanwhile, now official detectives, Bulk & Skull set about to prove themselves by undertaking an international spy mission, which doesn't sit too well with Det. Stone, whose detective agency is dangerously low on business.

Bulk & Skull spot a ghost-like image of the Red Zeo Ranger at the lake, which turns out to be a holographic entryway which sucks in not only Jason, but the bumbling duo, as well! The Gold Ranger, trapped in an arena filled with spectator monsters, faces Altor, a monster drawing on Tommy's brainwaves for fighting techniques. Can Tommy be broken from the spell in time before he's turned to the dark side completely?

Jason befriends the main bully's misunderstood girlfriend, Emily, whose necklace gets turned into Louie's first monster, Tough Tusks!

Meanwhile, Goldar & Rito regain their memories and powers, and set about enacting revenge on Bulk & Skull.
