Several units chase a white van that has been driven at four times the speed limit, until the driver eventually ditches the vehicle and goes for broke on foot. Meanwhile, following a report of a car on fire, the interceptors get behind a Mercedes A-Class suspected to have fled the scene. The suspect hightails it across town for several miles, before ditching clambering onto the roof of his car, where he takes a spectacular - and costly - tumble.

Meanwhile, the countywide ANPR system leaves a trail of breadcrumbs for Nottinghamshire's knife crime team when it picks up a cross-county criminal with previous for failing to stop, and they quickly race to cut off any chance of escape

Meanwhile, the Knife Crime Team head out in force to the northern suburbs, where they suspect a drug-deal is about to happen. After a highly co-ordinated operation, the team smoke out the suspected main dealer and a search turns up almost 100 wraps of Class A's down his pants.

On the roads, a runaway car mounts the pavement in an effort to escape, and Phil spots a serial offender who failed to attend court last time the officers nicked him on the very same road.

On a Sunday morning, cops are kicking off the traditional day of rest with a red-hot pursuit in the city centre. A Volkswagen driver proves a slippery customer, especially on wet roads, and even manages to evade the interceptors' stinger. But when he makes it to the M1 at speeds north of 90mph, the cavalry are called in to perform a breathtaking T-PAC straight out the top drawer.
