This 30-minute Saturday morning cartoon was produced by Ruby-Spears Productions and aired a total of 26 episodes. The first season, called "Heathcliff and Dingbat," ran for 13 episodes and included backup segments with Dingbat and the Creeps (who were created specifically for this show). The second season, called "Heathcliff and Marmaduke," ran for 13 episodes and featured backup segments with fellow comic strip character Marmaduke.

Season 1 - Episode 17 - Aired 11/1/1980
At the Fish Mart, Mr. Schultz is having a conversation with someone in the phone for them to deliver fish, but they are not able to. Mr. Schultz runs out of fish quickly due a certain cat that can eat faster than they could deliver, Mr. Schultz hangs up the phone and decides to close the shop and go fishing to replenish the fish in his store.

Season 1 - Episode 11 - Aired 10/18/1980
Dingbat tries to claim his inheritance from his great uncle, Barren Von Batt, but Dingbat's evil cousin Wombat also wants that inheritance to claim for himself. The competitors must stay in a castle overnight.

Season 2 - Episode 39 - Aired 12/5/1981
Gophers are devouring the Winslow garden and Marmaduke is sent to scare them off. It turns out to be a bigger job than he imagines. Marmaduke tunnels through the entire neighborhood trying to catch them causing problems for everyone.

Season 2 - Episode 36 - Aired 11/28/1981
The kids let Marmaduke outside to greet their father Mr. Winslow as he gets home from work. Once inside there is a knock at the door. It's the police and a member of the lost pet society who claims that Marmaduke is actually the lost dog of Mrs. Van Upton named Hobart. They two men haul off Marmaduke upsetting the entire Winslow family. The kids follow Marmaduke in an effort to get him back.

Season 2 - Episode 34 - Aired 11/28/1981
The Winslow's are on a trip to the supermarket and Marmaduke is trying to help drive. When they finally get parked Mr. Winslow accidentally leaves his keys in the car as Jake and Grugsy Glugg come out of a bank that they have just robbed. Little do they know that Marmaduke is in the back seat and plans to foil their robbery.
