Once they arrive, they encounter representatives of two of those four nations -- Shawnee warriors chasing a lone Cherokee warrior. Daniel helps drive the Shawnee away, and the grateful Cherokee, Mingo, returns the favor by showing Daniel and Yad an ideal location to build their fort. Yad returns east while Daniel remains with Mingo to explore the country.
