Reality television stars Les Gold, Claudia Jordan, Jenni Pulos and Karina Smirnoff take over the kitchen. One competitor has never eaten a common vegetable from the entree basket, then the dessert round becomes unpredictable.

#2 - Web Stars
Season 30 - Episode 5 - Aired 10/11/2016
Competitors with successful online cooking shows are ready to put their web-honed skills to the test. Round Two has the judges monitoring the clock with doubts that all three chefs can get a particular ingredient cooked in time.

#3 - New Year's Bash
Season 30 - Episode 8 - Aired 12/20/2016
It's the first ever Chopped New Year's party and the competitors get the celebration started with an extravagant appetizer basket that includes $50 worth of caviar and other pricy ingredients. The chefs find more premium items in the entree baskets, as well as a traditional southern New Year's legume. The last two chefs in this New Year's fight face some dressed-up ice cream cones and a limited number of grapes for dessert.

Fermented milk and an ingredient with a 'secret' history are at the forefront of the appetizer round, an unexpected surprise is found in the dessert basket and the last two chefs go in a similar direction with their final plates.

#5 - Best Halloween Ever
Season 30 - Episode 3 - Aired 10/3/2016
Four one-of-a-kind cooks dress up for Halloween in the Chopped Kitchen. The judges are eager to see what frightening sights a drag queen, a witch, a medieval reenactor and a bloody-faced warrior will scare up for them.

#6 - Sweetbread Dread
Season 30 - Episode 2 - Aired 9/29/2016
The chefs must determine the best use of sardines in the first round. Round two takes the chefs in a different direction with pricier basket items such as sweetbreads. The remaining chefs attempt ice cream in the final round.

#7 - On the Quack Burner
Season 30 - Episode 4 - Aired 10/6/2016
The chefs have to use duck tongues in their appetizers, and a seaweed pasta product may be the weirdest item in the second basket. Then, the finalists have to work spicy alcohol and a sweet cream into their desserts.

Four chefs who cook in soup kitchens face off in this special competition.
