Iyanla visits the memorial site first, spending hours reaching out to individuals affected by the tragic event and offering them ways to move past their anger. Then, she brings Pastor Charles Ewing, Michael Brown's uncle, face-to-face with Thomas Jackson, the Ferguson police chief. Together, they discuss the need for peace so that the system has time to work. Not stopping there, Iyanla hosts a community discussion, sits down with a group of young men—some of whom profess to be gang members—and makes her way past National Guard checkpoints to join a peaceful protest with community leaders and Welcome to Sweetie Pie's star Tim Norman.
