This episode is all about Janny. And whoever thinks of Janny sees beautiful outfits, refined French pastries, and many beautiful baked goods. Paris Brest is the first assignment for the bakers. During the technical assignment, filled cookies are made, and the end is a real spectacle: Janny's dress.

#2 - Layers

Season 12 - Episode 5 - Aired 11/24/2024

Which baker will hit rock bottom? Hopefully, the six remaining bakers will (cake) rise to the occasion. The theme is: layers. The bakers begin with a millefeuille, followed by a medovik, a (honey) cake, and the showstopper is a topsy-turvy layer cake.

#3 - Italy

Season 12 - Episode 2 - Aired 11/3/2024

Ciao tutti! The theme is: Italy. Just wait... pizza! The bakers start by making, you guessed it: a pizza. Then comes *baci di dama*, delicious Italian cookies. As a finale, the bakers get to showcase a cassata cake spectacle. With a touch of Italy, it will be a feast of flavors, colors, and aromas. Which baker can translate the Italian baking classics the best?

#4 - Winter sports

Season 12 - Episode 6 - Aired 12/1/2024

The temperatures are dropping in the *Heel Holland Bakt* tent. The bakers kick off with a true winter classic: a strudel. The bar is raised even higher for the technical challenge, aiming for the snowy peak. The amateur bakers must create four perfect Mont Blanc tarts. And as the cherry on top, there’s the showstopper: a winter village made of cookies.

#5 - Semi-finals

Season 12 - Episode 7 - Aired 12/8/2024

The tension rises as the final four bakers must give their all to secure a spot in the grand finale. They begin with a challenging signature task: combining two classics into one. In the technical challenge, the bakers must braid bread. From geometric shapes to intricate mosaics, the showstopper is a patterned cake.

Janny and Robèrt were pondering, what theme shall they gift the amateur bakers? Six *Sinterklaas* tarts to make, that's task number one, preferably without a winter carrot for fun. In the technical challenge, we’ll see delicious letters of chocolate and pastry, resulting in a true *Sinterklaas* buffet. The surprises that complete the creations must surely leave everyone wanting more.

#8 - Light

Season 12 - Episode 3 - Aired 11/10/2024

The theme is: light. The eight remaining bakers kick off with the signature challenge; they must create a transparent Bavarian cream cake. For the technical challenge, the jury dives into French patisserie with a classic task: îles flottantes. To top it all off, the bakers are challenged in the showstopper to craft a spectacular lantern display in honor of Saint Martin.
