Ben tries without much success to make Nick understand that his erratic behavior can cause them problems. After the day, Houle takes Ben to the restaurant Chez Marie-Louise, where the team meets regularly to unwind. Back home, Ben is surprised to receive a visit from Catherine, his girlfriend who misses him. Nick is not proud when he passes his bad mood on Theo, the son he shares custody with his colleague Isabelle. Her recent separation did nothing to improve her morale. He confides his problems to Houle and Marie-Louise. The sergeant encourages him to give his new teammate a chance. A dramatic intervention will help to develop a bond between them. Three months after being involved in an incident that went wrong, Nick Berrof, of the Montreal Police Force, returns to service. Despite Sergeant Houle's protests, Commander Gendron decided to have him patrolled in the company of Benoît “Ben” Chartier. He has just been hired after spending 15 years in the Sûreté du Québec in the provinces, and we quickly nicknamed him “the deer”. Still tormented by the mishap that forced him to rest, Nick would have liked to work alone. He is intractable with his new partner. Tyler Joseph, who realizes this, is responsible for giving the newcomer a better welcome. An armed robbery in a pizza restaurant gives Ben the opportunity to prove his worth, but also to discover that not everything is easy for the cops who work in the big city.
