As the tournament progresses, Kazuma eventually fights Mamoru. Believing to be on the verge of losing to Mamoru, Kazuma decides to quit before the fight properly concludes, which angers Chrono. He tries to ask Kazuma about his pessimism and convince him to just try, but this leads to a small fight between the two, ending with Kazuma leaving. At the end of the tournament, Shion's team is declared the winner, and Mamoru informs Chrono about thugs who are using Vanguard to attack people.

Takuto faces off against his Reversed self while outside, Aichi is being protected by his friends when they get surrounded by other Reversed fighters. Takuto uses Salvation Lion, Grand Ezel Scissors to unlock his rear-guards from Reversed Takuto's lock effects, but he responds with Star-vader, "Omega" Glendios. Reversed Takuto uses its Limit Break to permanently lock all of Takuto's rear-guards one by one while also preventing him from using Ezel Scissors's skill to unlock them. After locking all of Takuto's rear-guards, Reversed Takuto activates the Ultimate Break of "Omega" Glendios to automatically win the fight and then absorbs Takuto into his body. Soon after, Aichi appears before Reversed Takuto.

When Kamui adds that Aichi must be too weak to remember, Naoki gets infuriated and challenges him in Kai's stead. So, Naoki and Kamui have a cardfight while Kai, Misaki, and Miwa watch. In the midst of battle, Naoki cries out to Kamui to remember by recalling significant moments that he and Aichi shared. When Naoki finishes the game with a Legion attack, Kamui finally regains his memories about Aichi. After the fight, Kamui is informed about everything, and Miwa recommends for the group to search for Aichi by themselves. Elsewhere, a man swears to not allow anyone to get near Aichi...

Naoki wonders why Aichi would do all of this and then remembers his training with Leon. Naoki performs Legion and again attacks and retires all of Serra's rear-guards while empowering his own units, leading to his victory. While in disbelief over this loss, Serra faces Judgment from the fight field and loses consciousness. Having sensed Serra's defeat, the other Quatre Knights prepare to face Kai and his friends in battle.
