Queer as Folk (US) Season 3 - Episode 14
Queer as Folk's Third Season Finale starts with only a few more days until a new mayor is selected and Brian realizes that he must do something to stop Stockwell. A thing Justin also sets in motion by saying there should be a real rage, who could change everyone's mind about Stockwell. In the meantime Melanie almost passes her first trimester, which makes her nervous because her mother miscarried in her 11th week and Emmet gets a visit from Ted. Michael and Ben get a visit from Hunter's mother. When they tell Hunter he tries to run away again, but is stopped by Ben. He then tells them the truth and why his mother wants him back. When Hunter's mom comes to get her son and they refuse to give him up she goes to the authorities, which results in Michael and Hunter running away from the police. Also, Ted gets a serious wake-up call when he sees himself getting fucked by several men on TV, without recalling any of it, and submits himself into a drug clinic.

Corrinda is taken in for questioning concerning Heather's death, but is released after Shaye brings forth footage of Corrinda complaining about Heather during the time of the murder. Dusty's and Larry's corpse's relationship starts to become sexual. The trial gets off to a bad start when the Judge reveals he has to use a flute as a gavel and Crim almost gets charged with Heather's murder, despite being in jail at the time. Marilyn begins her plan to bring new money to Shuckton, but is met with little success. The trial continues as planned, with Dusty being called as the first witness. He reveals that he never finished the autopsy, and so the Judge orders Larry's corpse exhumed, which causes Dusty to run off in an attempt to cover his actions.

The Kids in the Hall Death Comes to Town Season 1 - Episode 3
The police officially charge Crim with the murder of Mayor Bowman, despite his protests that he doesn't remember anything, while Coroner Dusty can't bring himself to do an autopsy on Mayor Bowman. Marilyn Bowman is appointed a grief counselor to help her deal with the mayor's death, to which she has been drinking heavily. The mayor's will is read, and it is revealed he has appointed his wife as interim mayor in the event of his death. Death is bored, having no souls to kill, and reflects on the reason he is stuck in Shuckton, where several years ago he spent the night partying & having drunken sex and missing a soul collection the next mourning, that of an aborted baby which instead survived. Bowman's wake is held, and when several townsfolks start a ruckus over how badly the Mayor actually treated them, Dusty has the lot clear out and proceeded to steal Bowman's corpse to keep at home. Death goes to Bowman's funeral, where it is revealed that Rampop can see Death's true form and communicate telepathically with him. Death apologizes to Rampop for Bowman's murder, to which Rampop replies that Bowman was a bad man and got what he deserved. Ricky begins his investigation into Bowman's murder, but is hampered by his fear of leaving his house. Upon looking through the funeral footage for suspects, Ricky notices Death for the first time, which cause Death to come to life on his screen and insult him, scaring Ricky and blowing out the TV.

The Kids in the Hall Death Comes to Town Season 1 - Episode 7
Dusty is caught with his pants down and Larry's corpse in his grave. Ricky awakens to find Marny missing and ventures out into the world. The trial begins closing arguements, with Big City showing how various objects could be the missing murder weapon, resulting in the Judge getting his gavel back, and wooing the crowd with promises of vengeance. Ricky finds Marny, who accidentally reveals herself to be Ricky's mom and that Larry, who was a US draft dodger, had pressured her into getting him aborted, but he had survived and was raised by Dr. Porterhouse until he was old enough to live at an orphanage.

Marilyn Bowman begins her first day as Mayor, only to discover her husband was cheating on her with Heather Weather. The Prosecutor "Big City" arrives in town and proceeds to insult everyone he encounters.

Team One tears through the city in pursuit of James Mitchell, an armed and volatile man hunting for his ex-wife Michelle. James’s frantic daughter May fills the team in on the history of violence and abuse that she and her mother have escaped. As the team corners James on a hotel rooftop, a shocking turn forces Ed into taking a tragic shot he wasn’t prepared for.

Heather is released from jail due to lack of evidence. Corrinda goes to have an abortion, but learns that this pregnancy is her last egg, which causes her to reconsider. Dusty and Bowman's Corpse's relationship starts to become more intimate. Ricky has Marnie go to the trial with a spy camera on so he can watch, noticing that Marilyn is absent, who is at her office drinking, but an encounter with Death before the trial starts causes the camera to lose its signal. The trial starts with each side's opening statements, Big City's being all excitement and no substance, while Murray is late and completely unprepared, so Crim fires him and decides to represent himself, only to announce that he remembers a drug induced "vision" where his spirit bear told him to kill the mayor. Murray manages to get this statement stricken from the record, and Crim re-hires him and makes them blood brothers. Heather tries to make herself Corrinda's permanent replacement when she goes on maternity leave. Later, Heather is killed in the courtroom, with Death and Rampop being the only witnesses.

During the season four finale, Team One races to a hospital when Fire Captain Simon Griggs interrupts the attempted murder of a badly burned firefighter. When they corner the suspect, the team learns he’s behind a series of deadly fires in the neighbourhood. Meanwhile Fire Captain Simon Griggs is forced to make a horrific choice – one that pushes him to the edge of revenge and suicide. Parker, wrestling with his own decision about his future on Team One, must convince this broken man to live.

The Team is called to an office building where Dr. Jason Alston has been taken at gunpoint. As the team clears the building, the gunman gets the drop on Sam, forcing him and Jason into a van and revealing a critically injured child. Sam helps Jason stabilize the child’s condition, and discovers a history between Jason and the gunman – just as armed men close in, gunning for Brendan and trapping Sam and Jason in the crossfire.

Reluctant to take time off to help the State Attorney, Callie is surprised when Miranda is not only supportive of her request, but also learns that Miranda has been the victim of sexual harassment herself, and the two women bond through their shared experience.

Queer as Folk (US) Season 4 - Episode 1
This heartwarming season opener picks up more or less where the previous season left off. Having lost his job, and a pile of money keeping Stockwell away from the mayoral position, Brian finds himself falling on hard times financially, though he refuses to admit it. Though he is offered his old job back, Brian passes because of a contractural obligation that would force him not to work for a competitor. When Brian tries to start his own agency (lovingly named ""Kinnetic"" by Justin,) all his clients turn him down, forcing him to accept donations from a fund raising put together by his friends. Ted, still not able to put his life back together, leaves rehab, despite being ""clean"". A visit from Em provokes nothing but further fights between the two, partially revolving around Ted's now-rather-close-relationship to Blake. The audience is left unsure if they will ever reconcile.

Mayor Marilyn ties to put a positive spin on the execution, saying it marks a new future for Shuckton. Crim has his last meal, and confesses to a Priest/Rabbi/Tribal Elder that he does not have any First Nations background. Death checks out of his motel in preparation for the execution. Marilyn reveals that executions will become Shuckton's new major trade, including talks to build a theme-park around them in Shuckton. Death kills Buttonhole, who begs for it, which disgusts Death, and receives a message that Crim is next. Ricky and Marnie race to execution.

Queer as Folk (US) Season 4 - Episode 12
Brian's oncologist gives him a clean bill of health but insists that he take it easy. However, in an attempt to repair the devastation of the fund-raiser Jeffrey Pendergrass left in his wake, Brian decides to obtain Remson Pharmaceuticals' sponsorship (in the amount of $100,000) to participate in the Liberty Ride. Against his concerned friends' wishes, Brian starts to train for the Ride but quickly becomes exhausted and has trouble keeping up with the others in his spin class. Emmett makes an attempt to forget Drew, which is no simple task now that images of him as the Brown Athletics underwear model are plastered all over town. It seems to be just as hard for Drew to forget Emmett, as his game has been off and he has trouble sleeping (among other things), and keeping Emmett off of his mind. He finds Emmett at Debbie's and tells him he misses him. Later at the motel, Emmett asks Drew when he plans on telling Sierra about them; Drew doesn't think anyone has to know.

The Kids in the Hall Death Comes to Town Season 1 - Episode 2
Following the murder of Mayor Larry Bowman, Dusty, the coroner who was a very very close personal friend, and the police investigate. In the police's mind, everyone, including themselves, are suspects. They question among others the Mayor's wife Marilyn Bowman, who reacts in her usual manner. Being breaking news, the local news team arrive on the scene, however without their regular camera person Shaye, and their regular on-air reporter Corrinda Gablechuck, both of who are indisposed. Filling in for Corrinda is Heather Weather, the on-air weather girl. This situation brings to the forefront Heather's professional intentions and her professional limitations. Approaching the funeral, Marnie tries to talk Ricky into attending, although Ricky doesn't think the Mayor would have wanted him there because of their past history. Eventually, the police think they've found the murderer with blood on his hands. But Death has another Shuckton resident as his next target.

Alex must learn to stick up for herself and not be intimidated by Dawn (Charlie’s ex-wife) in order to work alongside her and perform a minimally invasive heart procedure to save a patient’s life. Meanwhile, Joel unlocks a mystery to a young girl’s disease, while getting some advice from Charlie, who is trying to figure out how to help his comatose patient come back from being a spirit. It’s a week of defying the odds at Hope Zion Hospital.

Brian wins the chief's campaign as an advertising account, telling the candidate that he needs to find an issue to make the second-place contender "pop" in the minds of the voters. Stockwell agrees to introduce Brian to some of his rich and powerful friends if the chief triumphs. After some teenage Babylon patrons die from bad drugs, Stockwell tells Brian he's found his issue. Ethan loses the Heifetz competition, but a talent agent offers to represent him—if he leaves Justin and his gay identity behind. Ethan refuses at first, but Brian tells him that there's nothing noble about being poor and suggests Ethan find a way to make the situation work. Ted and Emmett cannot agree on a house to purchase. Ted likes a new, modern house, while Emmett falls in love with a charming older house that needs many repairs. They argue back and forth until a frustrated Emmett tells Ted to make the decision. Ted surprises Emmett by buying the fixer-upper. After suffering much anxiety and guilt over his failure to produce sperm to father Melanie and Lindsay's second child, Michael finally succeeds. Meanwhile, steroids are making Ben extremely short-tempered, and Michael finally catches him injecting steroids.

At Woody's bar, Debbie emcees a charity strip contest during which one of the contestants goes too far and exposes himself to the crowd. A plainclothes policeman in the audience orders the patrons to leave, and the bar is closed. Debbie organizes a protest and publicly condemns Stockwell as a homophobe, putting her beau, Detective Horvath, in an awkward situation. Stockwell maintains that illegal activity at Woody's caused its closing and mentions Brian as proof that he is not a homophobe. Michael arranges a job interview for Ted with Tracy, now the manager of the Q Mart. Overqualified for the position of assistant bookkeeper, Ted is stunned and angry when the regional manager hires another "more qualified" applicant. Later, bartending for party planner boyfriend Emmett, Ted experiences further humiliation after overhearing Garth Racine refer to him as "nobody." Out shopping for wine for a get-together with all their friends at his and Emmett's apartment, Ted returns extremely drunk and ruins the evening when he inadvertently shoves Emmett in the kitchen. Melanie wants to work on the appeal of a woman who lost child custody rights to her abusive, drunken spouse due to her lesbianism. Knowing a career-making, landmark decision will be rendered in the case, Melanie tries to renege on an earlier promise to Lindsay to lighten her workload in preparation for motherhood.

The 27,000 residents of Shuckton, Ontario are awaiting word via a letter if they have been chosen to host the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. The town's chief booster is the mayor, Larry Bowman, with his faithful wife Marilyn and doting son Rampop by his side. The life of the Bowmans behind closed doors is however a different matter. While the townsfolk eagerly listen to the Mayor announce the official decision of their Olympic bid, Death has come to town in the form of a bike riding Drifter. Following the Olympic announcement, Death takes its first victim in Shuckton.
