Meet Louise, a budding magician. The students at the Tristein Academy call her "Zero Louise", due to her current record of zero successes with magic. In fact, her magic tends to go spectacularly wrong. Now, as an important test of her aptitude for magic, she must summon a familiar to be her servant. At this critical moment, she summons up all her magic and wishes for a familiar that is "devoted, beautiful and powerful", and gets... Hiraga Saito, an ordinary Japanese boy. It's difficult to say who is more surprised and dismayed, but the rules don't allow for second attempts. Louise is stuck with her strange familiar, and he with her.

As the Ostland flies at max power to the elven land, Saito and Tiffa are put before the council to decide their fate. Eshmael provoking words causes Saito to lash out, causing the other council members to agree that the barbarians must be destroyed. Will the Ostland make it in time or will a war start with the elves?
#2 - A Princess's Request

Having taken care of the love potion, a new problem arises again. This time, Princess Henrietta is to be wed to the Emperor of Germania for the sake of backing up the smaller country with a stronger power. In order to do so, a certain letter the princess sent to Prince Wales of Albion. If it is ever publicly revealed then the marriage would be impossible. At the moment, Albion is in a state of civil war, so Henrietta herself cannot see the prince. Therefore, Louise is sent with a message to Prince Wales requesting that the letter be retrieved. Guiche then enters, revealing that he had "accidentally" heard it all and would be willing to aid the princess. Much to both Louise and Saito's ire, Henrietta accepts Guiche's offer. On the day of departure, the escort arrives and is revealed to be Wardes, Louise's fiancé. A growing jealousy develops in Saito on the way to the port city of La Rochelle.
#3 - Louise's Marriage

With the arrival of Wardes and Louise alone, they meet up with Prince Wales in a seemingly deserted church. After finishing up business, Wardes suggests to Louise that they should just get married right then. Confused and repulsed by the idea, Louise tries to refuse his offer, but one of Wardes' allies comes out with a mind-control ring, forcing her into agreeing. With the Prince as the minister, the marriage proceeds and is nearly completed until Saito bursts into the church. Snapping Louise out of her trance, Saito rushes to rescue her. In response, Wardes kills Prince Wales, revealing that he is in fact involved with the rebels fighting the government Albion called Reconquista.

Saito is on Louise's bed with Siesta and he starts making perveted comments in his sleep when Louise wakes up and explores the door and Tabitha appears to "protect him" then Mr.Colbert takes them to Romalia to see the queen Henrietta and the king appears and he invited them a feast, Louise gets mad with Saito and he walk out to Siesta room and Siesta talked how she fights like love rival's and then he went to find Louise when he heard her screaming. After Tiffania asked Colbert-sensei to teach her how to summon a Familiar. Saito ran and he fought 2 people that were thieves and Tiffania is learning how to summon a familiar when Saito is fighting he falls and comes through Tiffania's Familiar "portal" nothing really happened, and then they got back and Saito kissed Louise and then Tiffania comes in and Louise started to say that Saito forced her.

At the Magic Academy, a ball is held in celebration of Louise, Saito, and the others deeds in Romalia. Louise and Saito dance, and he expresses his wish to be with her forever, leading to a passionate kiss between the two. Meanwhile in Galia Tabitha uses an antidote given to her by Bidalsha to cure her mother. The following day, Siesta overhears how Tifa tried to kiss Saito and suggests to Louise that they should separate Saito from Tifa by buying a house were only he and Louise would live, and Louise agrees. Louise rejects all of Saito and Siesta’s choices, and becomes further irritated when Siesta reveals she too will be living with them. Things become worse for the girls when they discover Saito has become increasingly popular with women due to his heroic status, and so decide to hasten their efforts. Back in Galia, Tabitha is asked by her mother to become the new queen for both the country and her father’s sake. Three days later, Agnes brings Saito and Louise to Henrietta, who informs them that Tabitha will be Galia’s new queen and to reward Saito for his previous deeds with a portion of her territory. Saito, Louise, and Siesta arrive in their new land, Ornières, only to find that it is a forest and their mansion is old and decrepit, but stay anyway since it was a gift. That night, the trio is visited by Tabitha who reveals she will be moving in with them since she postponed her coronation.

The lovey-dovey antics of Louise under the love potion persist to the point of freaking Saito out. In desperation, Saito demands that Montmorency create an antidote. She refuses to do so until Saito learns of the illegality of creating love potions and threatens her with possible arrest. As the antidote requires the tears of a water elemental, Montmorency leads Saito and Louise to Lake Lagdorian. There, they find Kirche, Tabitha, and a whole new problem.
#15 - The Atonement of Flames

Colbert sensei and Saito devise a plan to enter into the building and save the hostages. Benubiro explains to Anies how his captain Snake of the Flame ruthlessly burnt the women and children to ashes. The team use their combined magic to enter the building. During the attack, Benubiro recognises Colbert-sensei who is in fact his captain Enja, Serpent of the Flame. The two enemies begin a heated battle. Agnes becomes furious and charges towards Colbert sensei. Benubiro fires a lethal fireball towards Agnes to stop her from interrupting them, Colbert-sensei pushes her away from the blast and is struck in the crossfire. Agnes takes her revenge for her town upon Benubiro and defeats him. Colbert-sensei in his last moments explains what had occurred on that fateful day. He had been given orders to destroy D'Angleterre's Town as it had been reported to be struck with a deadly plague. After discovering there was no plague, he discovers a girl (Agnes) the only survivor and he carries her to safety. Agnes is still infuriated and she holds up her sword to strike a final blow to Colbert-sensei, but he dies before she can do so. Louise and Saito are saddened by the death of their teacher, whereas Agnes is still undecided if she will ever forgive him.

Henrietta has a special mission lined up and Louise and Saito are the perfect candidates. But Saito hesitates to go into battle because of what Mr. Colbert mentioned before.

Henrietta's forces enter South Gotha and claim it. Scarron's traveling tavern sets up shop, and Saito and Louise are reunited with Siesta, Jessica, and Guiche. Guiche shows off a medal and relates a story of coming back from the dead, which no one believes. Using the Ring of Andavari, Sheffield causes some of Henrietta's troops to attack the city from within.
#18 - The Sleipnir Ball

Siesta, in an effort to win Saito, challenges Louise to a contest. If he can locate Louise at the Seipnir ball, she will relinquish her advances towards him. Louise accepts, telling Saito that if he succeeds, she will allow him to “continue what he started before”. The ball arrives, and each participant takes a turn at the mirror of truth, which transforms him or her into their ideal self. Saito, on the way to the ball, notices a dark shape flying over the academy. Believing Louise to be in danger, he rushes in and begins to search for her. Locating her on the balcony, he has a brief conversation with her before the two kiss. Sheffield then arrives and disrupts the ball, destroying the mirror and reverting everyone to their former selves. Saito then discovers that the girl he kissed is not Louise, but is in fact Princess Henrietta, who had taken Louise's form.
#19 - Pursuit Aboard the Ostland
Season 3 - Episode 8 - Aired 8/25/2008
Colbert is alive. He was saved by Tabitha before death. Using knowledge from the dragons plumage he constructed an air ship with an advanced engine. Louise is still suspicious about what she witnessed between Henrietta and Saito and enlists the help of Siesta and Tiffania to capture Saito and force him (by using magic) to reveal what happened the previous night. Pursed across the ship (under the mistaken impression the magic will remove his clothes) by the increasingly desperate trio he is finally cornered and it is revealed to all about Tabitha's involvement in the previous nights escapade. Saito and Henrietta have difficulty meeting each others eyes throughout the episode but the episode concludes with Louise's resolution to trust Saito while Siesta is still concerned.

#21 - Mountain Pass on the Border
Season 3 - Episode 10 - Aired 9/8/2008
Saito and company take refugee in the Charming Fairy Inn while the search for them continues. A plan is created to use the Ostland to fly towards Germinia as a decoy, while Saito goes across the border directly. Scarron provides disguises for them, while Colbert, Seista, Gimli and Reinard proceed to liberate the Ostland. Siesta shows doubts at first of not having any powers but gets encouraged by Saito that she could still help. She hugs him so Louise kicks him in the groin from behind. In Gallia, Joseph and Sheffield uncover a massive object, which Joseph calls Jormungand, covered with pulsing veins and with a single large eye. Posing as a travelling circus, Saito and company cross the border, while Louise broods over no longer being an aristocrat, realising she only has Saito left. Back at the castle, using Siesta as a distraction, Gimli and Reinard take out two guards and they board the Ostland, after dispatching two more groups of guards.

Louise has a nightmare in which she loses the ability to cast magic; waking up, she finds that her nightmare has come true. In Tristain, Henrietta dispatches the Ostland and Colbert to rendezvous with Saito, carrying a type of cannon and Agnès offers the assistance of the Musketeer Corps. Saito, under Tabitha's guidance, learns to read quickly, while Louise broods over her inability to cast magic. Overhearing Tabitha telling Saito that under the influence of Gandálfr, the heart will experience changes, Louise wonders if Saito loves her because of Gandálfr's influence. Louise is captured. Guiche, Kirche, and Tabitha's attacks prove ineffective against an attacking golem. Louise decides to sacrifice herself for her friends.

Albion sends hired mercenaries to make a surprise attack on the Magic Academy and take all of the people from the royal families hostage. Saito and his friends plan on how they will rescue the people taken hostage as it will take too long for the reinforcements to come from the palace. It is discovered the captain was one of those who attacked Agnes's town D'Angleterre's and burnt it to the ground 20 years ago.
