Judge Darren Palmer treats the fans to a styling workshop where they learn how to make the most out of their apartments. Its party time for all the contestants as they celebrate a very special bucks night.
#3 - The Main Bathrooms
Season 8 - Episode 28 - Aired 3/2/2014
Tonight the teams are relieved to complete their main bathrooms and hand them over for judging. Tensions are high when Scotty reveals the scores and one team scores a perfect 30 out of 30.

Its the end of a huge week of renovating as the contestants race to deliver their laundries, bathrooms and drying terraces. Its only their second week on The Block and the efforts of one team take the judges by surprise.

The kitchen is known as the heart of the home and tonight all four Block kitchens are completed and handed over for judging. Neale, Shaynna and Darren are impressed and there's just one point separating first and second place.

Both teams complete their backyards before the judges look over the entire houses and give their final scores of the current series. The winners receive an extra $10,000 off their reserve prices.

Its the start of Living and Dining room week for the fans and faves. Its a huge space to renovate in one week and the budget is especially tight for the one team who haven't yet won a room.

The contestants hand over their first completed room, the guest bedroom. For the first time ever, the judges don't know who's rooms they are judging. The scores are tight, with the winning team scoring $10 000 to add to their budget.

Tonight its a Block wedding when 2012 contestants Brad and Lara get married. Everyone enjoys a night off from renovating followed by a leisurely lunch with Scotty. But he and Shelley have a surprise challenge and its fans v faves.

The show begins in an old movie theatre in Melbourne's Albert Park. Two couples, both die hard fans of the show, compete to become contestants. They're each given $10,000 and 24 hours to create a down town New York loft style apartment.

The pressure increases as the last rooms, the first floor and roof top terraces, are ready for judging. The winning team receive $10,000 all for themselves and they also have a massive decision to make.

Tonight the contestants complete another bedroom and the faves discover they've got some strong competition. Steve and Chantelle's risky parquetry wall surprises the judges. The winning team is thrilled to receive $10,000.

The master bedrooms and ensuites are now ready for judging, meaning that the interior spaces are now complete. Shaynna is impressed by the efforts of one team and disappointed with how another team has faired.

The twins attempt to come up with a plan to try and earn some extra money while getting a tan. Shelley has a challenge worth $5000 to the winners.

Shelley has a very special challenge for the teams, making over bedrooms for the Lighthouse Foundation. There's $5000 to be won to help with their renovation.
#17 - The Pool Area Reveal

The communal pool area downstairs is finally finished and Scotty is impressed with the end result. Three teams feel disgruntled, and aren't happy with one couple who have concentrated on their own apartment.

With only hours until tools down, the teams race to finish the interiors of the two Challenge houses. But before the Block judges get to cast their eye over the finished houses, the teams check out each other's work and have their opinion.
#19 - Elimination 2

Two more teams of fans go head to head in a 24-hour challenge. The winners will be the second and final team of fans to move into The Block.

Bathrooms are progressing well and the competition is hotting up. All the teams have something special to impress the judges and one team is spending up big. There's bad news for one team who learn the kitchen they've ordered is too big.

The teams learn the scores for the master bedrooms and ensuites and there's just half a point between first and second place. The team then begin work on their exterior terraces and they'll also receive $5000 to fix up their worst room.

It's the first official day on The Block and the teams discover that over the next 10 weeks they each need to create a three storey, three bedroom, three bathroom luxury apartment.
