Five public figures are challenged by “Taskmaster” Vasco Palmeirim and his assistant Nuno Markl to overcome a series of fun tests with a small dose of madness. Over the course of 8 programs, guests put personal assets at stake and face challenges that put their physical dexterity, creativity and especially their dignity in check. In each program, there is only one objective: to achieve the best performance in the tasks to accumulate the maximum points, which will allow each guest to recover their precious asset, in case they are considered the winner, after the scrutiny of Taskmaster Vasco Palmeirim and the precious help from his assistant, Nuno Markl.
#1 - You don't do that to the pharaoh.
Season 5 - Episode 4 - Aired 4/12/2025
In this episode, the contestants must bring in the most glorious thing that sounds like ‘Vasco Palmeirim’ when mumbled, transfer water between two fishbowls, find the item that makes a sound when a button is pressed, construct the longest sentence possible from an assortment of letter tiles, time-travel, put on a wetsuit during a Zoom call, and make and throw paper aeroplanes into receptacles. #2 - A kaleidoscope times a million
Season 5 - Episode 10 - Aired 5/31/2025
In this season finale, the contestants must bring in the best thing for a person that is actually meant for an animal, count all the dots while completing some other distracting tasks, say as many unique words without an ‘S’ as possible within 60 seconds, knock over a fleet of rubber ducks without leaving a carpet, complete seven mini-tasks in any order, put the most spaghetti in an orange, and win a high-stakes game of egg and spoon throw. #3 - The velocity is null
Season 5 - Episode 2 - Aired 3/29/2025
In this episode, the contestants must bring in the best thing to bring into a room full of strangers, roll a contact ball for as long as possible, keep Markl dry under a shower, do something surprising with a rubber duck, knock down exactly 100 cans, complete a series of tasks with increasing rapidity, and win a game of slap and tong. The guest contestant in this episode is Fernando Daniel.
#4 - It's a miracle!
Season 5 - Episode 1 - Aired 3/22/2025
In this season premiere, the contestants must bring in the most despair-inducing thing, move a beach ball through a course using only water, write and perform a cliff-hanger scene, get water into a vase, strike a bullseye with some paint, complete a series of tasks as a team, and then find and put on a medallion. The guest contestant in this episode is Isabela Valadeiro.
#5 - Simplify to the max
Season 1 - Episode 6 - Aired 4/23/2022
In this episode the contestants must bring in the most surprising photo of themselves, give Markl a special treat, throw something over a wall and into a bin, communicate images by tracing them on their team-mates' backs, invent a new handshake, make the highest splash, perform a quick-change, and identify the shortest breadsticks in their competitors' aprons. #6 - A macho duck
Season 5 - Episode 8 - Aired 5/10/2025
In this episode, the contestants must bring in the most satisfying thing that shakes like jelly, give Markl the best stag minute, put an egg in an egg cup without touching either, do something really stupid, make an impossibly specific sandwich for Markl, drive 11 laps while obeying an increasing number of rules with every lap, and open a toolbox to put on a pair of glasses. The guest contestant is Sílvia Alberto.
#7 - Why involve Pythagoras?
Season 2 - Episode 6 - Aired 4/22/2023
In this episode, the contestants throw something into a pedal bin from the furthest distance, drink a pint of Groselha while keeping their mouths open, light a candle using a cupcake, convince three chickens to stand on a mat, get goosebumps, and draw a monster based on Vasco’s description. #8 - Everything but pancakes
Season 3 - Episode 8 - Aired 11/11/2023
In this season finale, the contestants must bring in the thing they’d be happiest to find in a field, release Markl, complete various tasks while saying ‘metronome’, walk through a door wearing the biggest shoes and hat, get a potato into a hole, put a banana inside a bottle, and zipwire items to the Taskmaster. #9 - This is pushing the limit a bit. Or not?
Season 2 - Episode 5 - Aired 4/15/2023
In this episode, the contestants must bring in the best thing to hang on a wall that they would not normally hang on a wall, record the highest number on a pedometer, do the worst thing and make the best apology to Markl, score a goal with a plastic bag, take a menhir as far as possible, make a lipstick portrait of Vasco, and stack some buckets. The guest contestant in this episode is Salvador Martinha.
#10 - A kind of egg of Columbus
Season 1 - Episode 5 - Aired 4/16/2022
In this episode the contestants must bring in the scariest thing, put 50 different things in a bin, make a portrait from their 50 items, slow the descent of a wooden spoon, get dressed while wearing handcuffs, do something impressive in reverse, pass the largest thing through a doughnut, choreograph a dance to a ringtone, and inflate the largest balloon while blindfolded. In this episode, the contestants must bring in something that doesn’t get the respect it deserves, reach the front gate without triggering an alarm, eat a lemon without changing their facial expression, make time stand still, get a slice of bread into a toaster from as far away as possible, squeeze orange juice into a bowl using only the items they’ve unknowingly selected for the purpose, and make their rubber gloves and galoshes as heavy as possible.
