Janak is childless! His kingdom, Mithila has had a drought for 12 years. Elsewhere, Ram and his brothers are under the tutelage of Guru Vashisht. Janaka builds a golden sickle and unearths a baby girl, as he begins to plough! The baby's first cry leads to rainfall! Ram vows to reunite his mother with his sister. Sita questions her teacher Gautama Rishi and protects her father Rajrishi Janak.

Subahu secretly watches Mareech perform the last rites of Tadaka. Later, he tries to kill Mareech for seeking Ram's forgiveness. Sita is in love with Ram and daydreams about him. Janak conveys his intention to Sita about her marriage. The demons attack Vishwamitra's ashram again. Sita will be married off to the person who will fulfill the condition to string the Shiva's bow. No one seems to be able to lift Shiva's bow. Will Ram and Sita get married?

Ram worships Lord Vishnu on his birthday and seeks blessings from his elders. Guru Vashisht blesses him to guide mankind. Kaikeyi and Ram strengthen their bond. Ram wants to mingle with the people of Ayodhya. Mareech and Subahu torture and imprison rishis on their way to sage Vishwamitra's ashram.

Sita is abducted by the evil Ravan. With the help of Hanuman, Ram forms an alliance with Sugriva. After a long search, they find the whereabouts of Sita. Sugriva's army makes a bridge to Lanka and the war between Ram's army and Ravan begins in order to bring back Sita.
