"Martin Mystery" is a dripping goo-fest of slime, thrills and laughs, starring Martin and Diana: two mismatched teenagers with hilariously opposite personalities, and Java the school janitor. They are on a mission to investigate the weirdest paranormal enigmas and the slimiest creatures from beyond! Commissioned by "The Center" – an undercover bureau specializing in mysterious phenomena – and with the help of Java, a massive caveman lost in time, the team leap from their average school duties to eerie slime-dripping cave and lairs.

Season 1 - Episode 8 - Aired 11/26/2003
At a Vancouver University a sleep researcher is studying a patient's nightmare when something emerges from his monitor. At Torringtom a hyper Diana reveals to Martin her secret to how she aced the midterms is candy. With the sugar high she doesn't need to sleep and she had plenty of energy to study. Martin points out that now midterms are over she can cut back on the sweet stuff but Diana's not interested. Martin accuses her of being addicted and bets that she can't go without sweets for 24 hours. If she loses she does his algebra homework for a month and if she wins Martin forgoes his horror movie marathons for a month. They're called to Centre where Diana faces her first sugary temptations then after a look at MOM's trials of the prototype flying suit it's off to Vancouver where a student at the university has been asleep for three days despite all attempts to wake her. When Martin does a bioscan he finds that her eyes appear totally white while Java finds sand in her room.

In a small town in Alberta a boy named Wilbur poking around an antiques store finds an old puzzle box which magically unseals itself. At Torrington Academy Diana teases Martin about his insect phobias and being a scardey-cat. They're called to The Centre and sent with Java to investigate a wave of odd occurances in the Alberta town. Wilbur now looks to be half goat and his condition is progressing. Also a farmhouse was destroyed by a storm that appeared and disappeared almost immediately. They find an odd symbol burned into the ground at the farmhouse then things get dangerous when the local sawmill starts running without anyone in it and a giant saw blade breaks free and chases Martin, Diana & Java's car. A meteor crashes near a small motel & truck stop in the Alberta Badlands. When the owner goes to investigate something swoops down and he disappears. Meanwhile at Torrington Academy a chance collision with Jenny, the most popular girl at school leaves her lipstick on Martin's cheek and him convinced she's fallen for him. Paged by Centre (whose gateway is in a locker this time) Diana, Martin & Java travel there and are assigned to investigate. Arriving at the Badlands they meet Josie, the owners daughter who takes them to where her father disappeared. They find some green goop in a meteor crater but no sign of Josie's father or the meteor. That night when investigating strange noises Diana is carried off into the sky by a giant insect. Following it to an abandoned mine they find fossilised prehistoric insects which are being revived by the ooze from the meteor along with cocoons where the insects are storing their victims for use as food. #21 - Nightmare of the Coven

At Nadini College (a private girls school in Cap Ferrat, France) 3 girls are fooling around in the basement with a beginners guide to magic spells. It seems to be a dud and they run off when their principal comes downstairs to investigate the noise but they've awakened something and in engulfs the principal and covers the basement in slime. At Torrington Academy Martin is more interested in flirting with girls than studying for exams which infuriates Diana so she manipulates him into a wager that he can't go a week without flirting. Martin's not too happy about this but he hates to lose a bet so he's stuck. Java notices a door that wasn't there before and they enter it to find themselves at Center. They're sent to Nadini to investigate the principal's disappearance giving Martin the problem of being surrounded by girls while trapped by Diana's bet. In the slime covered basement Diana finds a necklace with before the acting principal arrives.

In the library of a village in Southern France a young girl unlocks the clasp on an ancient sealed book then disappears. At Torrington Academy Diana bets the sloppy Martin that he can't stay clean for 24 hours, the loser to give Java a foot massage and caveman have very smelly feet. Martin, Diana and Java are paged and use the warpgate hidden in cafeteria's fridge to transport to The Centre where they are briefed by Director M.O.M. then transported to France by Billy just in time to see another child disappear. Martin realizes the monster is a boogeyman who is carrying off naughty children to his own swamplike dimension. Encouraging other kids to run wild and attract the boogey man Martin uses the gateway it opens to enter its world with Diana and Java and rescue the missing children.
