Germany's Next Topmodel is a German reality television show. The competition is hosted by Heidi Klum, who also serves as the lead judge and executive producer of the show. Each yearly search of Germany's Next Topmodel has 10 to 17 episodes and starts with 12-25 contestants. Each episode, one contestant is eliminated, though a double/triple elimination or no elimination was given by consensus of the judging panel. Makeovers are administered to contestants early in the competition (usually after the first or second elimination in the finals).

A hot lingerie shoot and kiss training with a real Hollywood star awaits the candidates. Joana also threatens to drop out again and sparks fly between Rebecca and Anna-Lena.

The ten girls from “Germany’s Next Top Model” certainly imagined it differently: At their first meeting with Klum’s husband Seal, the young models wanted to look perfect, but he surprises them in the middle of a visit to the hairdresser… In the next test, the girls have to spontaneously complete a catwalk on the Düsseldorf Rheinbahn. On platform three, the young models present themselves in crop tops, miniskirts and tight dresses - with great success.

Heidi Klum always surprises her girls with internationally successful star guests. In the eleventh episode, Naomi Campbell gives the candidates a leg up. During catwalk training on a skyscraper in Los Angeles, the British beauty shows the girls the intricacies of the catwalk. In a challenge on Hollywood Boulevard, the participants get up close and personal with passers-by and try to grab a few items of clothing from them.

#8 - Bending with style: Coco Rocha, Christian Siriano & the Couture Challenge!
Season 21 - Episode 14 - Aired 3/26/2026
This episode is all about elegance, as the contestants will be receiving haute couture instruction from internationally renowned supermodel Coco Rocha. Here, they'll learn how to elegantly present haute couture looks. They'll then put their newfound skills into practice during a haute couture walk on the ranch. Heidi Klum will be supported by Coco Rocha and renowned designer Christian Siriano, who will professionally evaluate the performances and provide feedback.
#9 - Heart palpitations, Vivaldi dancing & sensual glances in the ballroom!

Today, elegance and teamwork take center stage: In the ballroom dance training, the candidates practice a choreography and harmonious interaction with one another. The highlight is the ballroom dance walk, in which the couples perform in authentic ball gowns in the classic English style. The jury is supported by the internationally successful model Brooks Nader, who evaluates the couples' performances from a professional modeling perspective.
#10 - L.A. Kick-off: Ranch life, deep glances & first kisses

Welcome to Los Angeles! The contestants arrive at their new temporary home, a ranch. Here, the men and women meet for the first time. On the agenda is an "Intimate Teaching" session with Nina Rausch, actress and acting coach: Although everyone has just met, they pair up – both same-sex and mixed-sex. Afterwards, photographer Vijid photographs the couples on a boat.
#11 - Job hunt & makeover: Casting week is about to begin

It's casting week for the models! Several exciting job opportunities are on the agenda. Who will impress the clients? The models will ultimately have to prove themselves on the runway during the monochrome walk. Heidi is supported by actor and model Michele Morrone, as well as choreographer and performance coach Nikeata Thompson.
#12 - Retro glamour on the Spree & underground rave with Baptiste Giabiconi!
Season 21 - Episode 5 - Aired 2/25/2026
During the boat shoot on the Spree River, the models pose in 1960s swimwear for the camera of star photographer Andreas Ortner. Afterwards, the men receive an exclusive walk-walk coaching session in the loft from Baptiste Giabiconi, the internationally renowned model and close associate of Karl Lagerfeld. The "Underground & Rave Walk" is all about attitude and energy. Baptiste Giabiconi returns as a guest judge, accompanied by music from DJ Hops of OHM Berlin.
#13 - First big fashion show, first farewell

In episode three, the men move into a modern loft in Berlin and immediately begin their first big walk through a staged cornfield, followed by an elimination round. The decisions are supported by American model Sean O’Pry. The candidates are styled by designer Maximilian Gedra – and in the end, it will be revealed: Who can impress and who must leave the show?
#14 - Viva España – Off to Tenerife!
Season 19 - Episode 4 - Aired 3/7/2024
The models move into their model hacienda in Tenerife. Once there, the self-timer shoot awaits them under the motto “Be yourself”, where the models can take two photos of themselves using the self-timer. Also a group ocean shoot with individually styled and tailored clothing on the coast of Tenerife - photographed by Heidi Klum herself. Actress and model Liz Hurley will be a guest judge.
#15 - The Cover Shoot for Harper's BAZAAR

In this episode, the models head to Las Vegas to take part in the prestigious cover shoot for "Harper's Bazaar". The women dress like drag queens and try to wow the audience at a drag brunch.

Kristian Schuller, who is known for his large-scale photos, has already put together elaborate shoots for Heidi Klum in previous seasons. For this season, Schuller, who also served as a juror in 2010, has now been hired as a permanent photographer and will be responsible for all shoots.

Still in London, the girls are taken to an underground tunnel where they meet this week's photographer Rankin, famous for his strict and rude behaviour towards the girls in former cycles. Several girls struggle at the photoshoot and Marie-Luise, Concetta, and Paulina are named as the bottom three with Concetta being immediately eliminated from the competition. On the next challenge the girls have to perform acts on a Queen's Guard at Buckingham Palace. In the evening, Paulina and Tahnee are randomly drawn to attend an aftershow party of the BAFTA awards. We then see how Rebecca performed on London Fashion Week where the designers that booked her the episode before were impressed by her.

“Germany’s Next Top Model” juror Kristian Schuller is planning the first big photo shoot on Derdesteen Beach in Cape Town. In oversized dresses, the models are supposed to hang on rings or balance on swings and look really elegant.

Early in the morning, a whole new challenge awaits Jennifer, Yvonne, Lena M., Janina, Charlotte and Lena G. in the race for “Germany’s Next Top Model”: the choreographer of the musical “We will rock you” was flown in from London for rocking dance training. A little later it's time to implement what you've learned! The candidates are supposed to dance on stage in extravagant outfits in front of photographer Norbert Baeres.
