The first set of hopefuls audition in front of the judges hoping to gain a place in the next round of the competition. Martin Cable impresses Piers and Amanda with his comedy routine and makes it through to the next round of the competition. When Simon is taken ill, Louis Walsh steps into his shoes as the third judge on the panel and all three judges are impressed after 10 year old Chloe Hickinbottom performs the Vera Lynn hit 'The White Cliffs Of Dover'. They are also impressed when Tina Humphries and her dog Chandi perform a ballet routine. When Simon returns to the panel dancer Tobias Mead manages to impress and makes it through.
