Christian is distracted by Syed and walks away from Jane. Upstairs in the Vic, Peggy says they should never have trusted Ian. Jumping to Archie’s defence, Roxy blames Peggy for signing the divorce papers, thus, giving away her marital rights. Ronnie requests that the Mitchells do everything above board as advised by their lawyer. She points out that Archie is powerless without an ‘order of possession’. Afterwards, Ronnie and Roxy bicker about how to deal with Archie. Roxy suggests trying mediation but Ronnie is adamant that they do not bargain with him, reminding them of why they cannot trust Archie. Later, Archie arrives at the Vic. Roxy tries her method of mediation and declares the family should be together at Christmas. Archie, Ronnie and Roxy sit around a table at the Vic, trying to reach a compromise. They all agree to at least aim for a peaceful Christmas until Janine arrives, flaunting her relationship with Archie. Ronnie immediately rejects Janine as part of any family Christmas. Archie is incensed and insulted by Ronnie’s words. He tells them that he is thoroughly disappointed in his girls before storming out. To add insult to injury, Janine reveals to the Mitchell sisters that Billy knew about their plan to take over the Vic and comments on her relationship with Archie. Furious, Ronnie flies at Janine before chucking her out. Roxy finally agrees with Ronnie that it’s ‘war’. Meanwhile, Ian claims he is ill and explains to Ben that selling the loan was not personal but business. Ben asks his dad to buy the loan back from Archie and Jane agrees he should. Jane is distraught over Ian’s behaviour confiding in Christian that she is unable to understand Ian’s selfish ways. With the Mitchells on the verge of losing everything to Archie, a livid Phil knocks at Ian’s front door shouting at Ian for selling out the Mitchells and Ian’s own brother Ben. Guilty and harassed, Ian goes to Archie - he makes an offer to buy back the Vic loan. Archie tells Ian to come back later once he has thought about it. Later, Ian enters the cafe and asks Archie if he has reached a decision but Janine bluntly informs Ian that the loan is not for sale. Speaking to Peggy, Phil and Roxy, Ronnie demands the Vic is open at 5pm saying it is the busiest time of the year. Phil, however, spots a problem; there is no beer to sell but Ronnie soon finds a solution. Ronnie, now feeling positive about the future of the Vic, suggests to Peggy that rather than hiding away from the punters, facing them would be a wiser decision. Peggy visits Pat and tells her how she thinks people are laughing at her. Pat questions Peggy’s fighting spirit and inspires her to challenge Archie. Whilst handing out raffle tickets, they bump into Archie and Janine. Peggy handles the situation by announcing that everyone is welcome in the Vic for the Christmas Eve party. Ronnie returns from shopping to find Peggy has dressed up for the grand re-opening. Following an initially slow start, the Vic soon fills up and Manda takes to the piano and leads a sing-song. Ricky tells Peggy that something is happening outside that she needs to see. The Mitchells head outside to find Peggy’s name removed from above the door which has been replaced with Archie’s name. As the family re-enter the Vic they find Archie and Janine at the bar. Archie now has the paperwork to declare that the Mitchells are trespassing on his land. Peggy and Roxy are waiting at the hospital outside Ronnie’s room before going to Ronnie’s bedside. Archie is pacing in his lounge, expecting visitors. He informs Janine that when the Mitchells read the loan agreement, they will realise they must leave the Vic. Soon after, Peggy visits Archie and slaps him twice around the face. Janine overhears the conversation through the wall. Peggy is livid and threatens Archie there will be trouble if he goes near the girls again. Janine then enters in lingerie, asking Archie to return to bed. Peggy leaves in disgust. Peggy informs Ben and Phil that Ronnie is in hospital. In reaction, Phil pours himself some whisky and swiftly downs it. Peggy watches in disappointment and pleads the family fight Archie together. Billy arrives to see Peggy and confesses he knew about the loan. Billy explains his reasoning claiming that he doesn’t feel part of the family and Archie was there for him. In the Vic, Peggy announces the raffle draw and Mo complains loudly that she has not purchased tickets yet. Stacey gives Mo one of her and Bradley’s tickets. The raffle is drawn and Mo wins Max’s Merc, that he was recently forced to give to Phil. Bradley is frustrated as the winning ticket was originally his. Mo attributes her luck to the Queen Vic bust – she touched it shortly before her winning number came up. Everyone in the pub touches the Queen Vic bust in the hope that it will bring them good luck. Peggy announces to the Vic that she wishes everyone a merry Christmas. In response, Minty toasts to what a fine landlady Peggy Mitchell is. Archie and Janine enter the Vic. Roxy reacts aggressively but Peggy states she invited the couple. She says she is tired of fighting and affirms that family is more important than any building. Ferris offers to give information on a bigger player in the chain, Ivan Grazdani, in return for leniency with his sentence. A search of Grazdani's hotel room yields a number of false passport applications signed off by a local district judge, Colin Wakeling. McAllister investigates a surprising link between Wakeling, Grazdani and none other than Manson himself. Tait witnesses a meeting between Hunter and Weaver.

Young and Smithy are minutes away from a bullet in the head from Wayne Radford's goons, when a raid on Hedley's Club takes place just in time to save them. Okaro and Gold are furious that the raid took place without their consent. When Wayne is nicked for possession, he blows Young's cover in interview. Nixon tries to file a misper report after her daughter Abi fails to return home. Best and Sim are on the trail of a prolific local burglar, but when Stamp and Hollis attend the scene of the latest incident, they find more than they bargained for, in the form of a severed arm. Best investigates and immediately apprehends the suspect, but Meadows is less than pleased when the arm is discovered to be made of rubber. That is, until Best finds a real one in the suspect's shed. Meanwhile, Smithy is teamed up with Kent when local villain Jimmy Cross is targeted for selling dodgy consignments of vodka, unknowingly sparking a turf war with none other than the Radfords. On Smithy's advice, Dunbar informs Morrell during interview that Young had accused Kent of raping her shortly prior to her death.

Stamp and Hollis attend the scene when the grave of Wayne Radford is desecrated with paint. CCTV reveals that career criminal Jimmy Cross is responsible for the attack, and Gold is forced to break the news to Irene and David. Gold believes she has convinced Irene to let the police deal with Cross, but later receives a call to say that Cross has been shot in a drive-by shooting. Forensics reveals that the gun used in the shooting was the same gun used to kill Thatcher's father over twenty-years ago, and a review of the case uncovers some possible new evidence. Meanwhile, Morrell questions Kent after Dunbar's allegations that he raped Young, and a gleaming Hunter discovers Manson and Dunbar's affair.

The Bill - Season 21 - Episode 14

Andrea is called as a witness to give evidence in the Kennedy rape trial, but having been exposed as an undercover journalist leaves her credibility in tatters. An angry Sam slaps Andrea when Kennedy manages to walk free from court. Having been suspended, Andrea attempts one final mission by trying to prove that Gabriel was the Sun Hill sniper – only to end up being held hostage in a storeroom by the crazed copper. Meanwhile, Jim and Ken raid a warehouse where a group of Asian men are suspected of selling counterfeit goods. The raid sparks a row between Colin and Leela, and Ken is sent to arrest the wayward copper – but the events which follow prove to be fatal.

Adam takes control of the team in the wake of the fire, but trouble ensues for June when whilst clearing the prisoners from custody, two make good their escape in an unlocked area car. Meanwhile, a smug Gabriel saves Smithy from the wreckage of the building, leaving Andrea to perish. As Jim is hot on the tail of the two escaped prisoners, Roger suggests that their escape might be connected to the attack – leaving a furious Jim to attack one of the suspects when he tracks them down. Reg arrives back at the station to find Marilyn, but his worst fears are confirmed when he arrives at St. Hugh's. The day turns from bad to worse for Jim when he catches June and Roger in a passionate clinch.
