When two snow-boarders cause an avalanche on a ski slope in Norway, the rescue team also discover the naked body of a woman. John Taylor informs the Townsends that the police think it could be their daughter, Ruth, who went missing a few weeks ago. His lawyer is also working with Sam on another case, and he tells Sam about it. Sam goes to the postmortem, where it is discovered that she has been murdered, but that it isn't Ruth Townsend.

The Bill - Season 6 - Episode 14
Melvin is chasing a suspect and pulls his tracksuit top. The suspect had caused a disturbance after being caught fishing for something in a pond - a wrapped up gun shape but when the wrapping is removed it turns out to be a diamond necklace instead. Turnham talks to Norika on the way to a break-in although there are no signs of forced entry and the only thing missing is a ring. Tosh investigates and ties together both jewelry thefts. Turnham and Norika get involved in a fight in a pub.

Silent Witness - Season 5 - Episode 4
When the naked body of a young woman is found in the snow at a Norwegian ski resort, Sam Ryan is asked to represent the Townsend family whose daughter Ruth disappeared there several weeks before The autopsy however reveals that it is in fact the body of Louise Hutton who had vanished there some 15 years previously. When Ruth's body is subsequently found, it appears both girls were strangled in a similar fashion. The police focus their enquiries on Ruth's boyfriend and on Henry Hutton, Louise's uncle while Sam seeks the advice of a university colleague and tries to draw a profile of the serial killer.

PCs Dave Quinnan and Polly Page are searching for Shauna Russell, a young woman with Down's Syndrome who has been reported missing by her mother, Annie and sister Natalie. They finally find her in an underground car park but are concerned by her dishevelled state. Despite protests from Annie, her daughter is examined by the police Doctor, Sue Marton. Shauna complains of feeling sick and when gently questioned it soon becomes obvious that she is pregnant. A test confirms this and the Doctor tells DI Alex Cullen that Shauna is probably three or four months gone but is unsure how much of her condition she actually understands. It cannot yet be determined whether she was assaulted or the intercourse was consensual. The news of the pregnancy leaves Annie dumbstruck whilst Natalie is disturbed by the thought that her sister may have been raped. While reports of disturbances start flooding in, the relief out on the streets find themselves under attack. Gilmore has a hard time containing a vanful of officers desperate to get amongst the conflict and regain some order. As white youths are seen loitering around an Asian owned warehouse, Ackland is taken hostage. As the relief rush to rescue her, Carver bursts in and starts beating up the ringleader, and the two share a passionate kiss. As the team relax with a drink in CID, trouble is only around the corner - with an array of petrol bombs being lobbed at the station. Taviner seizes his chance to get rid of the fake cash, but his disastrous actions lead to the entire station becoming engulfed in flames.

A horrific road accident sees a man impaled by a pole, and believing himself to be dying, he confesses to killing his wife and hiding her body. DS Debbie McAllister and DC Ken Drummond discover his wife alive and well, but Peter Wallace's confession may be true after it is revealed he has been married before and his ex-wife had mysteriously disappeared. Tracking Mickey and Robbie through Mickey's mobile phone, the police close in on their location, arriving just in time to arrest Ron Gregory for numerous charges. PC Gemma Osborne is surprised when a former lover turns up at the station with several kids in tow, saying she's left her husband and they can be together at last.

Supt. Adam Okaro and Insp. Gina Gold set up a surveillance camera in the male locker room to catch the station thief - with suspiscion falling heavily on PC Cameron Tait, after DC Danny Glaze's phone was found in his locker. The camera reveals PC Jim Carver breaking into PC Nick Klein's locker, but all is not as it seems. Carver has had enough of Klein's drug problem, and sets up an elaborate trap to catch Nick stealing to feed his habit. Carver and PC Gary Best catch Klein red-handed stealing from Marie Graham's house, but he manages to slip away. Klein goes on a desperate rampage to score his next hit of crack cocaine, but is caught and arrested by Carver as he leaves Amy Boyden's flat. Instead of sacking him, Okaro sends Klein into rehab. When Taviner and Murphy begin the search for a missing prostitute, they uncover an underage prostitution ring run by a known pimp, who low and behold, was interviewed by Young the previous day. An intrigued Hollis tries to find out the identity of the new woman in Taviner's life. Murphy feels she's been taken for a fool when Hollis tells her that Taviner has told him about his relationship.

PC Polly Page's horrible cousin Michelle turns up at Sun Hill, to report she is being stalked. Despite Michelle's obstructiveness, Polly manages to convince PC Cathy Bradford to get some information out of her so they can find the suspect. DCI Jack Meadows does all he can to prevent Rachel Heath from being charged with GBH, and when the victim presses charges, the matter is out of his hands. Sgt. June Ackland feels her age when she falls behind while chasing a bag snatcher. When an elderly lady is struck by a car and later dies in hospital, Ackland realises the dead woman could be the mother of DC Mickey Webb. DS Phil Hunter convinces DC Juliet Becker to tell his wife she was the cop having an affair with Heather Rayner, not him. The Bill - Season 19 - Episode 87
Live episode. Becker and Bradford are held hostage in the yard by a drunk wielding a knife. Becker is dragged into a carrier and Bradford escapes to get backup. Okaro takes control and orders Kent, Klein and Smith storm the van and but Becker has been stabbed, and she tragically dies in hospital. There are complications when the suspect swallows his tongue in custody. Best comes face-to-face with his father's murderer and during a rooftop tussle when Ellis escapes from an open custody door, Ellis falls to his death with Gary on top of him. Carver and Ackland reminisce over their twenty years of service together at Sun Hill when he is in hospital after being assaulted by his drunken wife, Marie. Murphy sees Taviner in the yard, and realizes he is alive. Webb returns to collect his belongings and reveals that he has transferred to the Murder Investigation Team, but has a frosty reception due to his rape by Martin Delaney, but tells his former colleagues to ignore it.

Hemmingway deals with a hysterical woman who is smashing up a shop. Discovering that she is a rape victim who is being traumatised and stalked by her attacker, Perkins and Sharpe step in to try to convince another of the rapist's victims to come forward and press charges after years of keeping quiet. Okaro is forced to put his recent domestic troubles behind him and begins to build bridges with both the relief and his wife. Murphy is shaken by her sighting of Taviner the night before. Confused about why Taviner would come back to Sun Hill, Murphy becomes frantic when it appears baby Niamh has gone missing. When the baby is discovered safe and well, Murphy asks Tait to baby-sit.

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 11
Tait and Young go in pursuit of a gang of teenage girls who have been shoplifting. When they become separated, Tait is cornered by the gang, who subsequently strip him and spray a suspicious substance in his face. Tait arrives back at the yard half dressed, much to the happiness of his female colleagues. Meanwhile, Carver finds a copy of Kent's birth certificate, and struggles over whether or not to inform Ackland. Murphy is devastated to discover an operation has been mounted to catch Taviner at their daughter's funeral, and believing Taviner's right to see his daughter, tries to inform him of the operation before he is arrested. When Ackland offers her a shoulder to cry on, she rebuffs her.

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 21
Klein is distraught when Bailey subsequently dies of his injuries. Hunter and Drummond interview the young girl whom Bailey was grooming prior to the attack, and whilst searching her photo album, Hunter finds a picture of his daughter, Maddison. When the young girl identifies herself as Dennis Weaver's goddaughter, Hunter shows Klein a file of mugshots of Weaver's associates, and Klein identifies the gunman as John Finnegan. When Hunter lets slip to Weaver that Klein is willing to testify, Weaver's gang kidnap Klein and pump him full of heroin. Meanwhile, De Costa and Page investigate when a young illegal Russian boy is found amongst a group of yobs involved in an organised chain of football hooliganism.

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 37
Thatcher and Drummond are on an overnight obbo, watching the flat of a crucial witness in a fraud case, when Drummond's teenage son Alex shows up, claiming to have caused the death of a prostitute. His life begins to collapse around his ears when his distraught son volunteers a full confession, and then threatens to jump to his death from a warehouse roof. Elsewhere, Nixon is haunted by the memory of her recent relationship with corrupt copper Cavanaugh, who gloatingly suggests that Manson deliberately let Beech escape from custody. With little evidence to prove his own innocence, Manson is forced to sit back and take the allegations being thrown at him as the DPS start a full-blown investigation.

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 42
Kent's vigilante actions on the Cole Lane Estate spiral out of control when he arranges for a skinhead gang to attack two black youths as revenge for mugging an elderly Asian lady. With his former allies on the estate turning against him, he must act quickly to ensure his involvement is not discovered. Murphy is in court on the case of a drink-driving Rastafarian she arrested for refusing a blood test, and is humiliated when the case is thrown out of court, and she is accused of racism. Jerome Taylor alerts the Borough Commander to the case, and Okaro is forced to offer Murphy a transfer or demotion. Tait and Harman are horrified when a car containing two children rolls into the river in front of them.
#34 - Insensitivity (Part Two)
The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 43
Kent's vigilante actions on the Cole Lane Estate could be his undoing when one of his supporters, Laura Bryant, decides he's crossed the line, and reports his actions to Thatcher. As Thatcher and Drummond follow up Laura's allegations, Kent's accomplice Kev is found beaten and locked in the boot of a car. Drummond sees Irene Radford, head of a ruthless crime family on the estate, and it looks as though the Radfords are running a protection racket. Tait dives into the Thames to rescue the two children from the sinking car. McAllister leads a raid to arrest an aggravated burglary suspect, and Nixon realises he fits the profile of their serial rapist. Hunter returns to work, but makes excuses due to his injury.

The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 63
Wayne Radford has been found dead in his prison cell. It appears to be suicide, but Radford also has a number of bruises and cigarette burns on his body. Gina hears from Radford's cellmate that a copper was spreading rumours that Wayne was a child killer. Malcolm Willard's garden centre has reported him missing, and Ramani is concerned as she suspects Terry has been to see his childhood abuser. Reg and Steve find Willard alive and well at his home, but are called back later to find Terry's brother Ben trying to drown Willard. Andrea is on a crusade to clear Okaro's name, and angers Manson when she illegally submits one of Jerome Taylor's cigarette butts for a DNA test, to prove that he planted the marijuana in Okaro's car.
#36 - Playing with Fire
The Bill - Season 20 - Episode 78
Jim repays Fletch his £30,000 debt, plus an extra £10,000 for the dog papers. But to get the money, he offers June's house to a dangerous loan shark. Jack and Debbie give into their feelings for each other. June thinks about retiring, and Smithy and Gabriel end up in a punch up after Kerry's funeral, when Gabriel reveals she was pregnant with his child.

The Bill - Season 21 - Episode 29
Mickey Webb, now working with the National Crime Squad, returns to Sun Hill and informs Jack that the NCS suspect that Neil has ensured the silence of a key witness in a major money laundering trial. Neil's world begins to collapse around his ears when a meeting with the girl is followed by her attempted kidnapping. Already paranoid after discovering a bug in his house and an intruder rummaging through his rubbish, Neil begins to wonder if someone is trying to frame him, and enlists the help of an old friend who has information on a mole working within NCS. His suspicions are confirmed when he is beaten up, drugged and awakes to find himself next to a murder victim.

The Bill - Season 26 - Episode 4
Jo and Leon are sent to deal with an aggravated burglary which has left John Baker who owns the house dead. Max and Grace find out that John's wife Tanisha has been missing for around 20 years. They soon discover learn that John had been having an affair and that his wife was scared of him at the time she disappeared. After both Tanisha and Baker's son Ian confess to killing John, Grace tries to find out what really happened.
#39 - Intervention
The Bill - Season 26 - Episode 22
When an abandoned car is discovers with traces of blood nearby, the team are called in to investigate. The car is discovered as belonging to businessman Ajay Kapur, but his family say that he flew to India before the car was found. When they investigate further the police discover that Mr Kapur did not go to India and that somebody was following him. Mrs Kapur then finally admits that her husband has been kidnapped. The team try to get him back without anyone being hurt.
