In Den City, SOL Technologies created a VR space called "LINK VRAINS" where duelists can use avatars to duel. Yusaku Fujiki, also known as Playmaker, is a first year high school student who fights the Knights of Hanoi, a group of hackers, as he tries to find out the truth about the past. The Knights of Hanoi as well as SOL Technologies are seeking a mysterious AI program that Yusaku manages to capture.
