The first incarnation of what has become a franchise-of-sorts, Scooby-Doo is a large, loveable but cowardly Great Dane who hangs around four California high school students (Fred, Velma, Daphne and Shaggy). The four teen-agers are in constant search of mysteries and adventures, driving around in a bright green van known as the Mystery Machine. Many of the group's adventures involve villians who take on supernatural disguises (ghosts and monsters); the villians' activities usually involve blackmail, theft, fraud and other forms of corruption.

While visiting Velma's Uncle Dave, the gang find out he has been kidnapped from his home, and that a mysterious Willawaw is haunting the area.
#2 - Mystery Mask Mix-Up
Season 2 - Episode 2 - Aired 9/19/1970
While in China, the gang pursues an ancient Chinese mask at an antique show. Soon strange things start happening. The gang is pursued by some horrible ghosts. They learn that the ghost of long dead emperor has returned to claim what is rightfully his. Things take a serious turn when Daphne is taken hostage.

The gang is vacationing in the Himalayas. They go to a winter lodge where the owner tells them about the ghost of a Yeti that is out to get revenge on the man that caused his death and will turn anyone into ghosts.

The gang gets volunteered as workers by Daphne's uncle, a director currently filming a movie about a fierce creature called the ape man. Rumor has it that the real ape man is alive. The gang soon learns that it's not just a rumor.

After an emergency landing in a jungle in Brazil, the gang get caught between headhunter natives, and the Jaguaro: a creature with the head of a Smilodon, and the body of an ape.

While coming home from pizza, Shaggy finds a violin case full of money. While calling the gang Scooby-Doo goes to help an injured poodle and the money is taken. The gang suspects that the money was fake.

The gang arrives at Puerto Rico to visit the ancient fortress El Morro. While there, the kids run into a ghostly general who warns them to stay away from his creepy fortress.

Thanks to Shaggy's slightly flawed map reading skills, the gang finds themselves in an abandoned western town. The owner tells them that guests were scared off by a strange man who came to the town centuries ago and won't leave until he finds the last remains of his gold claim.

On Halloween night, the New England town of Salem, Massachusetts is being haunted by the ghost of the witch Milissa Wilcox, who was burned at the stake in 1778. After receiving a distressed call from their friend Arlene Wilcox, a descendant of the accused witch, the gang arrives to help, despite being warned off by the town's mayor. The gang realizes the witch looks exactly like Arlene.

As the gang goes to New York City to visit Daphne's aunt, they learn from her that a strange and unexpected package containing a cat medallion arrived at her door. She believes that every night, she turns into the cat creature — the same cat creature that robbed a jewelry store in town.

The gang discovers a humanoid mantis creature roaming around the Vulture's Claw Botanical Gardens.

The gang gets shipwrecked on an island that happens to be an old lair for a pirate. They find a map, but there is a warning telling them to leave the island. The warning appears justified when a ghost called 'The Phantom' is after them.

Season 3 - Episode 2 - Aired 9/16/1978
While on a boat flowing down the Gulf Stream, the gang end up in the Bermuda Triangle and discover an airplane-snatching flying saucer and a trio of Skeleton Men.
#19 - A Highland Fling with a Monstrous Thing
Season 3 - Episode 6 - Aired 10/14/1978
The gang travel to Scotland to visit their friend Aggie MacDuff, who says people have left her castle in fear after ghost sightings. It seems the ghost plays bagpipes to call on the Loch Ness Monster to help him scare people away from the castle.

The gang rescues two circus people who tell them that they have left a circus because it's bad luck. The ring master tells them of a mysterious person called 'The Ghost Clown' who is responsible for the many strange accidents and incidents.

#22 - A Scary Night with a Snow Beast Fright
Season 3 - Episode 3 - Aired 9/23/1978
After being invited by Professor Krueger at the North Pole, the gang finds out that he has been captured. After they meet an Inuit named Chief Minook, he gets captured as well, and the gang attempts to solve the mystery.

The gang sees a strange man go into a weird mansion. They learn that he is a friend of their Uncle Stewart. Stewart tells them that the ghost of the Kingston Mansion caused him to turn old. Strange things start happening when Sharron and Uncle Stewart vanish.
