In Svartlien at the foot of Klimtatjakka the three brothers Marklund live with their mother Gudrun. They take care of the tourists who come to the guesthouse, take care of the ski slope, check the weather and arrange scooter safaris and samesafari. Sven-Erik is the eldest brother and he's used to have the final word. Sven-Erik is the middle brother and Olle is the youngest (and not so smart). Bengt-Hans takes care of the guest house, where he invites the brothers and possibly guests to 'hojt'-bootleg in the bodega. Bengt-Hans has warm feelings for Gudrun but don't think he can reveal them. The memory of Stor-Erik watches over them, their legendary father, who disappeared many years ago.
