Ubaldo, an ex-military man who now works at a bank in São Paulo, heads northeast after inheriting land from the biological father he never knew: a famous cangaceiro. When Ubaldo is taken hostage during a bank robbery, he escapes death by offering information for a robbery. While Ubaldo works to turn the gang into professionals, Dinorah makes an offer of 1 million reais to prevent the bank from auctioning off her properties. They won, but now they need more money and prepare for the next heist. Dilvania welcomes the families who lost their houses at auction to live on their land, creating a commune and inspiring political hatred.

After a successful heist, Ubaldo brings his recently recovered father Ernesto from São Paulo to Cratará. Meanwhile, Dinorah plans to take revenge on Mayor Gastão for having raped her when she was a child. Her boyfriend Lino hers helps her attack Gastão, leaving him disfigured. However, fleeing the scene of the crime, Lino is shot.

Leinneane's husband and his family, political opponents of Gastão, are accused of crimes against him. Worried about his son's dangerous new lifestyle, Ernesto tries to talk him out of it, but when an assassination attempt is made on him and Leinneane, Ubaldo realizes he has to steal whatever it takes for her to defeat the men. #10 - A Promise is a Promise

With Jeremías injured, the gang improvises an escape and seeks refuge in a farmer's house. Dinorah fights off one of the bandits after he attacks the farmer's teenage daughter. To save Dinorah's life, Sabiá sends her to help Ubaldo fulfill her promise, after which she can exact her revenge. Ubaldo will have to fight his own sister if he wants to survive.
#11 - My Way

Ubaldo and Dinorah rob only half a bank to support Paulino Leite's campaign. To save his son from a life of crime, Ernesto blows up Ubaldo's warehouses, destroying his weapons in the process. Ubaldo and Leinneane suspect Gastão, and the aspiring first lady uses her own campaign money to finance the robbery that will bring her political victory.

The gang prepares for the next heist. Ubaldo is reunited with a childhood friend, Leinneane, whose husband is running for mayor. Tensions rise between the bandits when a robbery nearly costs them their lives. Ubaldo rebels against the gang's incompetence and wins a fight against Ameaço. If they want to make real money now, they'll have to do it their way: no deaths.
#13 - Crime Never Pays

Ubaldo's gang is surprised by Ameaço and his followers, leading to a shootout that kills men on both sides. Gastão's fanatics set out to destroy the brotherhood and burned down the building with Ernesto in it.
