Move over grown-ups…the kids are taking over the kitchen! "MasterChef Junior" is a new culinary competition series for talented kids between the ages of eight and 13 who love to cook. The series will give budding cooks the exciting opportunity to showcase their talent, culinary smarts and passion for food through a series of delicious challenges and cook-offs. Host and award-winning Chef Gordon Ramsay is joined by renowned pastry chef Christina Tosi, Together, the celebrated food experts will coach and encourage the promising hopefuls to cook like pros and teach them the tricks of the trade along the way.

#2 - Restaurant Takeovers
Season 1 - Episode 5 - Aired 10/25/2013
The kids split into two teams and take over a fine dining restaurant in Los Angeles where feedback from the diners and the head chef will decide the winning team.

#3 - Finale (1)
Season 1 - Episode 6 - Aired 11/1/2013
The top four cooks create dishes featuring chicken, with the cooks of two best dishes moving to the final round.

#4 - The Class of 2015
Season 3 - Episode 1 - Aired 1/6/2015
Season 3 begins with the introduction of 19 new cooks, who tackle their first mystery box challenge by making a dish with only the ingredients they are given. The winner gets to pick the pasta the other contestants prepare for the judges.

#5 - Family Style
Season 3 - Episode 5 - Aired 2/3/2015
In the next mystery box challenge, the eight remaining junior home cooks create unique banana dishes. The junior home cook who most impresses the judges wins a significant advantage in the next elimination challenge. Later, special guest and Gordon Ramsay's daughter, Matilda Ramsay, introduces the home cooks to their next elimination challenge dish, a Ramsay family favorite, Salmon en Croute.

#6 - A Cut Above the Rest

The final four cooks must break down an Alaskan king salmon and produce as many perfect filets possible; contestants must create a restaurant-quality salmon dish with a limited number of ingredients.

The contestants fry eggs sunny-side up in a 10-minute challenge, and later prepare their signature dishes that will anchor their menus at a future restaurant.

A three-legged challenge is held to make a dozen cupcakes. Later, Gordon's mom visits the kitchen as a guest judge when the remaining contestants prepare one of the host's favorite dishes from his childhood.

#10 - The Next Generation
Season 2 - Episode 1 - Aired 11/4/2014
Sixteen young home cooks arrive and find themselves preparing dishes using Alexander Weiss's favorite ingredients, including pork chops, pork tenderloin and green apples. The winner chooses which protein is used in the elimination round before 12 contestants are chosen to advance in the competition.

The remaining home cooks create their own unique dishes but must use one common ingredient – chocolate. The winner will receive the first-ever MasterChef golden apron and the biggest advantage in series history.
