Airline pilot Liza loves her character home's close proximity to the airport, but its cold basement and sectioned-off layout has her husband Shawn at wits' end. Shawn turns to Todd to find them something move-in-ready, in their neighbourhood. But Liza can’t imagine leaving her cute character home and hopes Jillian can warm things up with a new, open-concept layout.

When Stephen bought their boxy bungalow without wife Stephanie’s input, he hoped the scenic mountainside location would make it the perfect family home. But with Stephanie hating the dysfunctional layout, Todd is called on to find something better in their neighbourhood. While Stephen isn't ready to throw in the towel, he needs Jillian to create the open-concept dream home that Stephanie desires.
