After living in a small one-bedroom apartment in Houston for a year, Matt and Suzanne Stillings are ready to settle into home ownership. With a maximum budget of $400,000, they have decided to look for a home within Houston's ''Loop,'' preferably in Midtown. They want a spacious three-bedroom, two-bath home, and their wish list includes a yard, possibly a pool, storage for bikes, surfboards and watercraft and space for an herb garden.

Heath Owen and Cara Hudson are a young Nashville couple ready to buy a house together. Currently, they spend most of their time at Cara's house, which she calls the boring box. Anxious to have more room, their goal is to find a home with at least four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a large open kitchen. Their price range is between $400-500,000, and they're hoping that can go a long way in the Nashville market.

Meridee Wilson and Sarah Berrin live together with their two dogs in a rental in the suburbs of San Francisco, but they miss the sights and sounds of the city. They're ready to purchase a home in San Francisco, hopefully one with plenty of room for entertaining, modern appliances and within walking distance of a park for their dogs. While their wish list seems pretty basic, Meridee and Sarah know that San Francisco's real estate market is one of the priciest in the nation and with a budget of just $450,00, they know that they may not get all they desire.

Scott Baker and Shasta Bridges moved to Atlanta several years ago, got married and moved into Scott's place in Decatur, a suburb to the west of Atlanta. With only two bedrooms, the second bedroom serves as both a guest room and an office for the two of them. They're looking for a new home with at least three bedrooms, two bathrooms and enough space for entertaining and work at home, all for under $400,000. That price point may be a challenge, so they're willing to look all over the city of Atlanta and its many suburbs.

Byron DeJesus and Jackie Wilson have been together for ten years now. They currently live in Jackie's place and have decided it's time to purchase their first home together. Although they appreciate the convenient location of where they live now, the nearby airport is noisy and several of the home's rooms are too small - including the one-car garage. In their new place, they hope to find a home in the Minneapolis suburb of Edina with at least three bedrooms, two bathrooms and plenty of space to entertain.

Gina and Rich Strogan are a young couple who have been sub-letting a townhouse not far from Charleston, South Carolina. With a move-out deadline fast approaching, they've begun searching for homes in the nearby town of Summerville. With a budget of up to $270,000, their goal is to find a home that's move-in ready with a fenced yard for their dogs, a living room that isn't carpeted and a screened porch.

They currently live in a 750-square foot apartment in the Adams Morgan neighborhood in D.C. With limited storage space and a baby on the way, they'd love to find a larger home where their living room doesn?t do triple duty as a dining room and guest bedroom. Home prices in downtown D.C. have pushed their search into Alexandria, Virginia where they hope to find a condo that's close to the city and has plenty of restaurants and entertainment options nearby.
