Susse at the reception is doing everything she can to keep von Sydow out, and Jens is about to take his vital citizenship test but has blackmailed Fanny into helping him cheat.

To distract from recent blunders, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs organizes a weapons fair for Sweden's defense industry. However, it naturally attracts the entirely wrong kind of attention, even if Fanny, in a double sense, does everything she can to bring it down. Meanwhile, the noose is tightening around both Jens and the spy. But all that's needed is a little acrobatics.

Mimmi is back in Italy to sell Swedish Woodwear Worldwear Wardrobe, but is forced to fly home to catch her old friend in a UV bar. Fanny and Hendrik receive alarming news from NATO, and Jens struggles on as a single undocumented father. But everything is interrupted by the annual, yet still surprising, tsunami drill.

Cabinet Secretary Hendrik Tür has grown tired of grandiose plans and returns to things within the bounds of reason, such as selling Swedish white snus to Scots aboard the Wild Mouse. The leaks about Sweden negotiating nuclear weapons placements in exchange for selling fighter jets have reached the tabloids, while Mimmi is remotely selling mobility scooters to Italy’s elderly, and Laszlo wants to take his and Fanny’s relationship to the next, or perhaps first, level.

The leak has prompted IT-Laszlo to introduce “analog mode” as a precaution — meaning no use of electronic devices whatsoever — and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs is thrown a hundred years back in time. Especially bad timing since the future generation of fighter jets is supposed to be flown in Linköping that same afternoon. At the same time, Jens lack of citizenship becomes a problem he apparently has to solve himself.

We encounter a Ministry for Foreign Affairs under constant threat from the outside world. The three most serious threats, however, come from within, and are named Mimmi, Fanny, and Jens. Mimmi is in Italy serving as our ambassador to the Holy See and Malta while simultaneously peddling fighter jets, Jens works on trade promotion at “Bribes and Counterpurchases,” and Fanny holding down the fort by opposing them both.
