The Savages are not your typical average wholesome family. When you just have a father whose motto is "Anything Goes" and five immature children in one house with just themselves everyday, the odds of them being a normal bunch are one in a million. Complete Savages shows just what happens when you have a household full of average men and no women around to tell them how they should act. The Father Nick Savage (Keith Carradine) is a single father raising his five sons who do nothing but mayhem and stress into his life. He does his best to teach the boys the value of life and how to take responsibility for their own lives. When Nick informs them that he wants them to get jobs, Sam, Chris and T.J. get work at a lingerie store as stock boys. The job turns out to be a complete drag for Jack and Chris but Sam does not mind it at all. After proving he is capable of being a good employee, Sam gets promoted and leaves Chris and Jack with the feeling of wanting revenge. Meanwhile, Kyle and T.J. are forced to help Nick donate toys to the Needy, but when they discover a game that they want is going to someone else, they themselves start to feel needy.

At a fancy restaurant, the boys attempt to pawn him off to the five women they thought was the best. However, Nick learns about what they have done and doesn't like it. Feeling uncomfortable being around the internet women, he goes to a nearby bar and meets a woman who he hits it off with. While getting to know her, he discovers that she is the type of woman who'd like to have a husband, house, two kids and a dog and Nick does tell her about his house, his dog, and his two kids, Sam and T.J.

Meanwhile, Chris gets a job at the mall selling paper airplane gliders and TJ and Kyle buy one. Unfortunately, they realize that they have purchased a faulty product and decide to annoy Chris in any way possible to get back their money.

Meanwhile, Nick has to find a babysitter for T.J. and takes Jack's suggestion and hires April, a girl that goes to school with the boys. Little does he know that Jack has another plan for April and it does not involve babysitting.

When the boys hear about a carnival in town, they all decide to go with a plan. Kyle’s plan is just to act mischievous, Chris and Jack’s plans are to find girls who have already eaten so they would not have spend any money and Sam plans to ask Angela to join him as a date (being that just she recently broke up with her boyfriend). As for T.J., he is stuck at home writing a book report; but, when he finishes, he faces a new problem when the dog eats his homework. The bad luck keeps spreading with the Savage boys when Chris and Jack’s dates keep coming up ways to make them spend all their money and Sam has to fight off his feelings for Angela due to the fact that she wants them to be just friends.

Nick discovers that one of the boys have been smoking cigarettes. Worried that his son might have an addictive problem, Nick agrees to give up smoking cigars if his son agrees to give up smoking cigarettes. When his son complies with the arrangement, Nick starts to feel proud of his decision. However, when Nick starts to show that he is having a hard time fighting his addiction, the boys become worried that Nick is the one with the addictive problem. Meanwhile, Sam joins a club to impress Angela but is soon regretting his decision when he learns that he is not fitting in.
#10 - Almost Men In Uniform

When Nick gets called into work on his day off, T.J. and Kyle are forced to go with him but are excited because they have the opportunity to get to see what life is like as a firefighter. However, the boys regret their intuition when they learn that Nicks' job is not as exciting as they thought. Meanwhile, Chris, Sam, and Jack can not decide what to do with themselves; so, when they learn the perks of being a firefighter, they decide to go around the town and pretend being firefighters so they can enjoy those perks. Unfortunately, their good time streak ends when they are forced to perform a major act of duty like real firefighters.

The boys receive their progress reports from school and while the family finds it no shocker that Chris is failing five classes, they are shocked to learn that Sam is failing Physical Education (PE) because he is incapable of climbing a rope. So, when Chris’s football coach, Mr. McCarthy, informs him that he will not be able to play because of his deteriorating grades, he, Chris and Sam compromise an agreement. If Sam tutors Chris and gets him to pass his classes, in return, Coach McCarthy will pass Sam in PE. However, after a few study sessions, Sam’s patience starts to grow thin when he realizes that his skills is not proving effective when Chris keeps demonstrating that he is not the brightest of human kind.

So Nick is forced to use any kind of tactics to show how dangerous a motorcycle can be but is in a dead end when the boys don't see the dangers of it.

When Grammy Na-Na (Angela's grandmother) has her 80th birrthday, all the Savages are invited. Unfortunately they are unable to attend due to prior engagements, the SUPERBOWL. When Jack and the other boys see the wild Superbowl halftime video for sale they plead for their dad to spend the $39.95. When he refuses and runs out to get more beer, they have the genius idea of stealing the game from teh cable box outside their house...needless to say, they end up at Angela's house attempting to watch the Superbowl on the ""futuristic"" tv they are confronted with upon arriving. Without the false pretenses that they arrive upon, Grammy Na-Na would not be able to receive ""the best birthday present ever""!

As the boys enjoy their new found success and rubbing it in a jealous Sam's face, someone discovers a secret that could expose the boys as frauds.

However he soon regrets his decision when he learns that this family is not as happy as he'd thought. Meanwhile, when Nick and Jimmy get called into work, the boys decide to prepare Thanksgiving themselves. Things go from bad to worse when they become stuck in the house with a live Turkey that is far from average.

Meanwhile, Sam is thinking to ask Angela, his neighbour, to go to the school dance with him. The two stories join when Nick has Angela visit the house. Sam quickly rallies everyone to clean up to help him win the girl.
