Allt för Sverige is a Swedish reality show based on the original Norwegian format Culture Shock:Norway. The first season of Allt för Sverige premiered on Sveriges Television SVT1 on October 30, 2011, and the last episode aired on December 18, 2011. The series is about Swedish Americans who return to their Swedish roots. In the program, they give the participants more about their families but in each episode one in the group must leave the show and therefore know less about their ancestry.

North Americans get an unreal experience as they move in and live castle life at Kalmar Castle. They get courtesy clothes, shoot a bow and cook for a feast that the kings of the Vasa family would have loved, namely pike in various forms. Christina gets her very dramatic family history which turns out to include everything from a noble person who saved the life of Gustav II Adolf, to some others who were imprisoned at the very Kalmar castle, accused of murder. Now Everything for Swedish Americans has made its way to Dalarna. There they can move in to the legendary artist couple Carl and Karin Larsson's farm in Sundborn. There will also be visits to the spectacular mining shaft in Falu Copper Mine. In addition, it is semi-final. They are five Americans left, but only four advance to next week's final when it will be decided who will win and get the very desirable family meeting. Part 7 of 8.

Alingsås is called the "bakery town" and what place can then be better for Americans to dive into Swedish fig culture. It will be early mornings, as they will all be allowed to work at two of the city's bakeries. Anders Lundin introduces the old traditions coffee by piece, cook coffee and even coffee box for the enthusiastic gang before the Swedish musical wonder becomes what makes the next American to leave Everything for Sweden. Everything for Swedish Americans will come to Stockholm this week and will strike on Friday for the environment at Mynttorget. Obviously Greta Thunberg shows up, which impresses big on the gang. Some of the participants have noble relatives and may visit the Riddarhuset and see the shields of their noble relatives on the wall. A tower collapses at the end and brings with it an American in the case, the fourth to leave this year's program. Part 5 of 8.

The losers of last week's competition have the anxiety of being forced to go home, especially that of those who haven't had their day with family history yet. But until the competition they all have a fantastic time when they get to live life as Swedish farmers. The participants move north, to Jämtland, where they move in with some families and get to test on life in the Swedish sparsely populated area. They build on the dance track in Oviken, coach children in a football match and find out that Jämtland's great celebrity Storsjöodjuret is probably there for real. Brittany learns that her ancestor, who was killed in Karl XII's army, was from Oviken and that it was very close that her family had never been.

It's time for Americans to take a vacation. They sail into the archipelago of Landsort. There will be a cultural crunch when Americans go to the islanders to eat dinner. They can also try to drive a pilot boat and discover Sweden's oldest guy. Anders Lundin is set against the wall when the Americans have a lot of questions about Swedes' behavior. The final is approaching but everyone will not get there all the way.

On Sweden's national day, the Americans come to Stockholm. They will move into two Swedish immigrant families, families forced to make the same trip as the American ancestors of Sweden. The national day is celebrated with the families where Swedish traditions meet Somali and Arabic. Anders Lundin reveals the lies in Donald Trump's statements about Sweden. And so, the Americans will compete. Questions about the phenomenon Abba determine who can continue the adventure.

The Americans come to Vimmerby and will discover Astrid Lindgren's fairytale world. They learn why these stories have such a great place in our Swedish hearts. And then they will move into Emil in Lönneberga's farm Katthult where they will live as the family in the saga. Some of them will end up in the snowboarder. Anders Lundin teaches them about the dark story behind our Saturday goddess.

The Americans fly to Norrland. In the wilderness outside Älvsbyn they will be camping. The participants are not entirely focused, the question is how well they will manage in the forest. The Northern-born nature turns out to be both touching and upset. Americans dare on a very dangerous jump. Anders Lundin holds a vital lesson about Sweden and Switzerland. The racing event takes place on the railroad, after all, everyone will not be allowed to fight for a family reunion with their Swedish family.

In Alfta in Hälsingland, they will live as their Swedish ancestors, 19th century life in a Hälsingegård. The time trip is complete with tiring woodwork, food over open fire and unusual hay beds. One of the participants turns out to have strong links with the place, her ancestor created history in Hälsingland. Anders Lundin brings up emotions when he reveals Swedish relations to the church.

It will be a tremendous farewell when the first American is forced to leave Everything for Sweden.
