That night at dinner all the gang are there and Charles arrives. Shirley thinks he's after their gift wrapping jobs at Bardwell's so she is mean to him, and Lenny and Squiggy are there arguing with Laverne and Shirley because there was no water to rinse Squiggy's hair. Shirley and Carmine are arguing because she's tired of Carmine taking her out to eat on coupon dinners. Everybody is arguing and Charles tries to turn it around, but ends up hurting Laverne's feelings when it's declared that he didn't ask her out. This prompts the guys to ask him to leave, after that they all start being nice to each other and feel guilty as this was what Charles was preaching earlier. Charles comes back in to try to clear the air, and is forgiven by Laverne and the gang and they all head out to eat.
