Reb accidentally admits to a reporter that Joan did not beat her up. Dot goes to Wentworth General for tests and when the social worker accompanying her leaves her alone, she heads back to Wentworth in a taxi. Joan, Shane and the Major go fishing. Myra and Ray squabble with one of the social workers and tip salad dressing down her. Bev attacks Judy with a soldering iron, but Judy passes out. Reb offers to give her mother some of her inheritance if she helps her escape. The women try to drug Bev, but she outsmarts them and Marlene drinks the drugged tea instead. Bev stabs a male social worker with one of Dot's knitting needles.
