Amy can drive!! She and the family looks for a car and they buy a junky one. Wayne re-designs it completly into the wierdest car you've ever seen. Also included is a safe-t-guy that gives you tips about pratically everything. She is grounded for some reason and snucks out of the house. She tries to trip the wire to stop safe-t-guy from talking, resulting in making him drive them off the cliff. The family gets a call from Amy and they go after her to stop safe-t-guy and the car from going off the cliff. Will they make it?

Ned's agency is going on a retreat to a ski resort. Ned doesn't want to take Stacey but she corners Pat Kirkland and convinces him that this is just what she and Ned need to help save their marriage. Ned has amorous plans for the office manager Ms. Willoughby, but the presence of his wife makes it hard for him to convince the young woman to go along with them. Amanda also wants to spend some quality romantic time with her husband Eric, but he is in seminar heaven and is ignoring his wife's wishes. At the couples seminar, Ned and Stacey find out that there's really not that much they despise about each other anymore. Back in their room, it appears that the fake marriage may be finally moving toward a consummation, but Ms. Willoughby shows up. Now the prospect of both love and office supplies appears dim for Ned.

They made it to the championship game and Nick must drop the inventions be cause his dad is coming. Diane and Trudy are in a belly dance class. Diane is worried about the recital. Amy uses a cream that camaflouge pimples. She uses to much and it hides her nose.

Meanwhile Diane and the kids are feeling crowded with Wayne's invention so they decided to sell the stuff they dont' use but after a while people don't like them so now they have to get them all back.

Wayne's brother Randy Rude the Science Dude comes to town with his show. He invites Wayne to help him get the ratings up. Wayne agrees to help but unbeknownist to him, he started taking over. When he realizes this he plans a way to pay back for all the times that Wayne has taken over.
