Knots Landing - Season 14 - Episode 10
Despite their attempts, Karen and Gary are not allowed to speak with Mack while he's being booked for the murder of Mary. They retain Attorney William Reed to represent Mack. Paige and Kate try futilely to calm Meg, who's nervous that her parents aren't home. After Meg goes to sleep, Gary and Karen return to the house with no news about Mack. Kate and Gary share a tender moment. The following day, Karen and Paige go to the jail where they learn Mack fired his attorney, Reed, the night before. Reed tells Karen that Mack gave explicit orders that he doesn't want to see her. She's shocked. The women go to municipal court for Mack's bail hearing. They learn that bail is already set at one million dollars and that Mack is back in jail. Paige asks former boyfriend, Tom, for help, but he suggests Mack plead to manslaughter. Paige gets angry. Abby tells Gary they need $20,000 to keep their Methanol business going. Abby meets an engineer named Larry, but casts him aside when she meets Andrew Douglas, a famous silent-movie director. Larry, meanwhile, becomes more interested in Karen, and Abby is jealous. Abby uses Andrew, who says she reminds him of his deceased wife, Terry Clarington. Andrew is rich, and somewhat senile, and at times thinks Abby is Terry. He tells Abby that he will put her in his will. However, when he dies, he has left the money to Terry Clarington, so Abby gets nothing. She's also lost Larry to Karen, which further upsets her.

Ginger and Kenny argue over whether they should let Erin cry or pick her up. Karen goes to a grief group, and makes friends with Bill Medford, whose wife committed suicide. Bill tries to kiss Karen, but she says she isn't ready. Diana misinterprets their friendship and is enraged that Karen is dating. Out of spite, Diana goes to a party with Roy, a biker who Karen hates. He drinks as he's taking Diana home. When a police car tries to pull them over, Roy tries to outrun them, and he and Diana are arrested. Later Karen and Diana have a terrible argument, but then begin to talk and make up.

Falcon Crest - Season 3 - Episode 22
Lance flies into a rage when he hears that Melissa sold Joseph to Angela for her half of Falcon Crest. Angela later warns Lance that he must mend things with Melissa since she is now Pamela's heir and if he doesn't, he'll be left penniless. Richard finds the bugs planted by Pamela, leading him to believe the cartel is closing in on him. Angela ignites a romance with Carter St. John, which makes Philip jealous. Maggie is running out of time as her tumor rapidly grows and must decide between risky surgery and radiation treatment. Her eyesight soon starts to fail, and Michael warns that if they don't operate on Maggie soon, her loss of sight could be irreversible. However, questions about Michael's surgical abilities still linger. Claiming she is afraid for her safety, Julia has Lucas teach her how to shoot a gun.
