Val is proud as a peacock and happy as a clam now producer Betsy's TV series plans a profile of VIP focusing on her, the professionals are jealous having serve as extras among crooks and menials singing her praise. That and security at a Ducati motorbike model launch show on the beach seem not exciting enough, so 'reenactments' are planned so Val can star. Recently paroled contract thief Ryan Hill wants to dig up his loot, bonds about to expire, on that very beach.

Spider-Man is approached by FBI agents to steal the TX-1 chip, which can allow access to private bank account transfers and be very damaging to the world economy. He succeeds in stealing the chip and hands it over to them, only to learn later that the whole thing was a ruse set up by the criminal mastermind, the Kingpin. Spider-Man now has to stop the Kingpin before he uses the chip to steal billions from the world's major banks. None of this helps Peter's social life, though, as he keeps missing Mary Jane's latest acting gig.

Tasha goes to meet a man but he shows up dead. She checks his pockets and finds a microchip in a little plastic bag. Kay cracks it open to discover that it's in Russian. According to Tasha it's a list of Tregoran sleeper spies. Tregoran was a scientist who would brainwash ordinary people and turn them into unwilling assassins who could be activated by a codeword or phrase. Tasha then goes to a museum to meet up with her ex-husband, a man known only as The Owl, to see if he can help her. As they leave two men attack them but are soon defeated. Val, Nikki and Quick show up and Tasha informs them that she's on the list of Tregoran sleeper spies. They decide to take Tasha off active duty because the wrong word or phrase can set her off. #9 - Diamonds Are a Val's Best Friend
V.I.P. - Season 1 - Episode 6
Val is hired to guard the star of Neptune, a 50-carat diamond. But it gets stolen while under her watch. The thief turns out to be Nikki's cousin Gino. When Mr. Parcigian, the guy who paid them to protect the diamond finds out it was stolen he gives them 24 hours to retrieve it or he'll sue them. When Nikki's grandfather, a big wig in the mob, thinks he's getting the real thing from Gino finds but finds out he's got a fake he gives V.I.P. 24 hours to get him the real diamond or he'll kill Val. Tasha finds out that Gino is hiding the real diamond inside Protocon. Now V.I.P. and the mob team up to get it back. After they get it back and are about to escape Gino arrives with some old army buddies and demands they give it back. A key witness in a video piracy case is being followed so he calls Val. She sends V.I.P. and they arrive just in time but the assailants manage to escape from V.I.P. Steve Wizner, the key witness, was suppose to have round the clock protection by the FBI but they were nowhere to be found. When they arrive at Steve's house the two agents are there. He decides to have V.I.P. as his bodyguards, with Val at his side at all times. While the agents and the rest of V.I.P. are waiting outside Val and Steve are in the hot tub. Then one of his housekeepers comes in and shoots Steve in the head. Agent Lampert informs Val that she's the target now because she now knows what Steve was killed for knowing. Johnny's return to action films marks the return of his old Tong enemies who wish to make good on their threat to kill him but when one of the Tong's daughter's is kidnapped he strikes a deal with Johnny to let him live if he can return his daughter alive. Along with V.I.P.'s help they return the daughter save and sound but the Tong lied and attempt to shoot Johnny but he fakes his death so they'll leave him alone believing he is dead.
