#1 - A Sad Christmas Eve!
Shugo Chara! - Season 1 - Episode 12
Amu goes shopping with Nadeshiko and Yaya for a Christmas party. When Amu sees a music video by Utau, Yaya informs Amu that Utau is a new idol singer. Elsewhere, Utau is practicing her performance, but when she becomes disheartened, her manager, Yukari Sanjo, brings up Ikuto. Utau is then determined to work harder. As Amu hurriedly runs home, she comes to a park where different groups are performing music. Amu hears a sorrowful melody and when she follows it, she discovers that it is Ikuto playing his violin. After the Guardian's Christmas party the next day, Amu returns home. However, the Guardian Characters feel the presence of X Eggs. They return to the park and find that everyone's eggs have been extracted en masse and have turn into X Eggs. In the middle of them stood Ikuto who disappears in a burst of wind along with the eggs.

Chrono and Aichi engage in a heated cardfight. Although Chrono tries his best to fulfill the conditions of the new card he got from Aichi, he is defeated before getting the chance to use it. Later, when Kouji and Kai arrive, they intend to leave with Aichi and Kamui. Chrono wants to come along, but Kouji decides to test him to see if he is worthy enough.

The rematch between Shion and Shouma commences. While making strong offensive and defensive plays, Shouma thinks that Shion is still the prideful person who tries to do everything but ends up with mediocre results. Because of this, Shouma predicts this fight will end the same way as the last time they battled. However, Shion believes his possibilities are endless as he strides his new G unit Aerial Divine Knight, Altmile to turn Shouma's prediction on its head and make a comeback victory.

#6 - Dog Trainer
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 37
Using the special bracelets awarded to them for winning the tournament, TRY3 infiltrates the United Sanctuary branch. However, a security guard mistakes them as native fighters and separates the trio. Tokoha is horrified by the harsh training programs of the branch and decides to confront Rin about it. Elsewhere, Shion is taken to a GIRS arena where he is challenged to a cardfight by that guard who is in fact Yuya as Shion had suspected. While battling against Yuya's new Shadow Paladin deck, Shion is forced to wear the bracelet which delivers physical pain to him whenever he takes damage. When Shouma appears to spectate the match, Yuya reveals how it was Shouma who invited him to the branch. Yuya eventually rose up the ranks and gained the position of Dog Trainer, a security personnel/disciplinary teacher who punishes losers and enforces the branch's mottoes of "winning is everything" and "weakness is a sin" to others. Offended and outraged upon hearing of the branch's morals, Shion swiftly defeats Yuya and then confronts Shouma. Meanwhile, Chrono meets with Taiyou again and tries to convince him that his current mentality of wanting to become strong is not right. As Chrono attempts to flee from the facility with Taiyou, Kouji stands before him.

#7 - Storm Ryuzu's Lab!
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 7 - Episode 1
Kouji leads an elite team, including TRY3, on a mission to infiltrate Ryuzu's lab to retrieve both his Depend Cards and the units that he had summoned from Cray. There, the group is separated due to the efforts of Ryuzu's security robots led by a young boy named Hiroki Moriyama, a member of the "Company". Chrono and Kouji are furthered separated from Kamui, Tokoha, and Shion; those three wind up in battles against the other Company members, which consists of the enigmatic Sousuke Wakamizu, the Dark Zone branch chief Satoru Enishi, and Shouma. Meanwhile, Chrono and Kouji come face-to-face with Ryuzu. He reveals his ambition to gather specific units called the Zodiac Time Beasts to open the Stride Gate, which he believes will perfect the world. Ultimately, the Company successfully stalls for enough time to transport the Time Beasts to another location and escape. However, due to the accumulative side effects from summoning the Time Beasts, Ryuzu dies but not before giving his last words: "For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again."

After Kanzaki's resignation, the United Sanctuary branch was left in disarray with many of its staff members and fighters leaving. Fortunately, Kouji temporarily returns to revise the branch and make it more hospitable than before, thus bringing back the lost staff and fighters. Later, Kouji calls out Chrono to tell him about the Depend Card. However, Chrono insists on cardfighting Kouji and finally settle the score with him. Meanwhile, Shin meets with Mikuru to talk about Chrono's father...

#9 - Trinity Dragon's Fierce Battle
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 7 - Episode 14
Team Trinity Dragon stumbles upon a secret facility run by Wakamizu, and they challenge him. If any members of Trinity Dragon beat Wakamizu, then he will tell them his scheme. However, if Wakamizu defeats all of Trinity Dragon, then they will become guinea pigs for his experiments. Both Karl and Tsuneto lose, but Kei gathers information from their fights to finally defeat Wakamizu. As promised, he tells them that he has been using this facility to gather Stride Force to summon the last Zodiac Time Beast and open the Stride Gate. Wakamizu escapes by activating the facility's self-destruct mechanism. Team Trinity Dragon also escapes before the facility is destroyed, and the group tells Kamui what they have learned. After praising them, Kamui informs them about everything that has happened.

A month has passed since Tokoha began studying abroad in France, where she is also assisting with the Vanguard Association's Paris Branch. One day, she is introduced by Jaime to a young man named Miguel Torres, a polite albeit unlucky cardfighter who aspires to be a pro in the future. Through a friendly match with him, Tokoha learns that despite Miguel's misfortune, he is indeed a strong fighter and passionate about his dream of becoming a pro. The next day, Tokoha and Miguel spend the day together when she explains how she has yet to find a goal for herself. Nonetheless, Miguel expresses how he will wholeheartedly support her. Some time later, Jaime calls Tokoha and tells her that Miguel has died.

#12 - United Sanctuary
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 36
Team TRY3 participates in a tournament held at the United Sanctuary branch. The top three fighters will earn not only the right to be part of the branch's special selection but also the chance to fight against Team Demise. As the tournament progresses, TRY3 notices the peculiar behavior and "winning is everything" mentality of the United Sanctuary branch's fighters. In the final round, Chrono faces a familiar friend: Taiyou Asukawa, who has drastically changed from his former timid soft-spoken self. Unbeknownst to Chrono, Taiyou was subjected to a special strengthening program in which he fought against Chrono's Gear Chronicle deck in simulations, thus turning him into a cold calculating fighter. In spite of Taiyou predicting and countering Chrono's every move, Chrono turns the fight around in his favor and wins. With things going smoothly for the Company, Wakamizu proceeds to summon the last Zodiac Time Beast. However, Shouma wants to make his own "adjustment" to the process and cardfights Wakamizu to do so. Meanwhile, Am requests Team TRY3 to help her save Luna, but Shion refuses to forgive Am for her actions and walks away. On the other hand, Tokoha tells Am that she still considers her as a friend and accepts her request. Back at the Company's headquarters, in spite of Wakamizu's calculations, Shouma defeats him. After having Wakamizu forcibly removed, Shouma makes a slight adjustment to the summoning process.

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 7 - Episode 20
After retrieving the Kiba family sword, Shion cardfights Shouma. He boasts how he has foreseen everything that has happened and enjoys when both his own predictions come true and unforeseen events occur. On the other hand, Shion retorts how Shouma is just a manipulative observer while he gain what he wants through his own efforts. At that moment, the Kiba sword transforms into a new G-unit for Shion: Blazing Sword, Fides. He uses its power to defeat Shouma, who predicted that this would happen. Just then, a large piece of debris is about to fall on Shouma, but Shion pushes him out of the way and is crushed. Shouma thinks that Shion is pretending to be unconscious but slowly realizes that he may be dead. He cries for Shion to wake up just as more debris falls on both of them.

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 8 - Episode 1
Time has passed, and the members of Team TRY3 have gone their separate ways as they enter high school. Tokoha is studying abroad in France, Shion is attending Fukuhara High, and Chrono enrolls in Tokyo Metropolitan Harumi High School. However, Chrono has a hard time adjusting to his new school life. Later, while working at Card Capital 2, Chrono is challenged to a cardfight by a peculiar young man, who soundly defeats him with his Nubatama deck. Before leaving, the man reveals his name to Chrono: Kazumi Onimaru. Upon learning that Kazumi is the reigning "Under 20" Vanguard champion, Chrono decides to enter the U20 Championship.
#17 - A Night at Card Capital
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 13
To celebrate Chrono's ascension to grade 2, Kamui, Team Trinity Dragon, and Shin throw a surprise party for him at the shop. After inviting Tokoha, Kumi, and Shion, everybody enjoys eating stew, playing table tennis, going out for ice cream, and playing in the park, except for Shin who fears Misaki's reaction to having a party in the store. After Kamui tells Chrono about the benefits that await him at grade 3, the group is motivated to play Vanguard for the rest of the night. Later, while Kamui and the others sleep, Chrono and Tokoha draw funny pictures on their faces and coax Shion to join them. The next morning, Misaki arrives and wakes up everyone, who have all had their faces drawn on. In contrast to Shin's worries, Misaki is happy after noticing how much fun everyone had.

#18 - The Masked Ghost
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 15
After attending a party and getting reacquainted with an old friend, Yuya Karasumori, Shion overhears rumors about the Masked Ghost, a mysterious fighter who has been challenging other players and taking their avatar cards. One day, after he and Yuya spar in a fencing match, Shion is told that he will get special training from a professional fencing representative in a few days. Later, Shion receives a tip from Ryota, the boy who he befriended at the Vanguard Quiz Competition, that the Masked Ghost has been spotted. Shion tries to confront the Ghost, but he escapes. Some time later, after hearing more info about the Ghost from Ryota, Shion awaits training from the fencing representative. Just as Shion realizes the true identity of the Ghost, he receives a message that tells him that Ryota is fighting the Ghost at a warehouse and rushes over there. He arrives soon after Ryota loses to the Ghost and has his avatar card taken. Shion challenges the Ghost, who enforces a unique condition to their cardfight; Shion must play with 12 triggers taken out of his deck, but if Shion wins, then the Ghost will return all of the stolen cards. Shortly into the battle, Shion exposes the Masked Ghost's real identity: Yuya, who reveals his true motives to why he has been doing this. Nonetheless, despite the large handicap, Shion defeats Yuya, who runs away after leaving all of the stolen cards. In the end, Shion loses his chance to receive professional fencing training, but he has no regrets and believes he will get another chance.

#19 - Still Unnamed
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 20
For the upcoming regional Vanguard tournament, Kamui decides to have Chrono, Tokoha, and Shion form an unlikely team together. He tests their teamwork through a variety of exercises, but the trio exhibits no sign of team harmony whatsoever. Then, Kamui has the three play against Team Trinity Dragon in a special cardfight in which each team member will switch with another after each turn. Throughout the fight, Chrono, Tokoha, and Shion constantly argue with each other about their playing methods. With excellent synergy, Trinity Dragon wins, leaving Kamui to believe that there is no hope for Chrono's team. Desperate to prove Kamui wrong (although he was really faking it), Chrono, Tokoha, and Shion become determined to make their unnamed team successful.

#20 - Kouji vs. Mamoru
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 24
Mamoru invites Kouji for dinner where they play a game of Vanguard while discussing about Chrono, the incident at the team tournament, and their different beliefs in Vanguard; Mamoru believes in having fun while Kouji is more focused on winning. Meanwhile, with only a week until the regional tournament's entry deadline, Tokoha and Shion help Chrono complete as many quests as possible to gain the necessary amount of points to reach grade 3. However, Chrono ends up missing out on a lot of quests in order to help a young lost boy. All hope seems lost until Mamoru, knowing Chrono's circumstances, creates a special quest, which Chrono, Tokoha, and Shion immediately accept, that will award enough points for Chrono to level up to grade 3.

After much preparation by Team TRY3, the regional tournament finally begins. It opens with an exhibition match between last year's national champion Toyoyama and Yuichirou Kanzaki, the director of the United Sanctuary region and the man in charge of this tournament. Toyoyama seemingly has the upper hand until Kanzaki brutally retaliates and finishes the match. After Kanzaki gives a speech of elitism, the regional tournament starts as Team TRY3 makes it past the first round.

#23 - Again, The Wanderer
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 28
TRY3's opponent in the second round is Team Wanderers led by Takeru Baba, which leads to a rematch between him and Chrono. As they have another intense cardfight, Chrono learns that Takeru fights for the sake of his sickly younger brother Hayato, which causes him to falter. But with some encouragement from Tokoha, Chrono regains his fighting spirit and wins the battle, thus advancing TRY3 to the third round.

#24 - Chrono vs. Shion
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 33
Chrono and Tokoha attempt to convince Shion to continue playing Vanguard. However, being a member of the prestigious Kiba family, Shion claims that he has other duties to tend nor does he want to play Vanguard with half-serious feelings as he has already been doing. So, with help from the Kiba family butler Iwakura, Chrono sneaks into Shion's home where he challenges him to a cardfight. As they battle, Chrono accuses Shion of running away from the fact that he lost to Shouma. Remembering to believe in his own possibilities, Shion manages to attain his long-awaited victory over Chrono. In the end, Shion decides to continue playing Vanguard and rejoin Team TRY3.

#26 - Legendary D
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 6 - Episode 10
To truly clear the Zoo branch's quest, TRY3 goes through more challenges. First, they defeat a hundred Megacolony soldiers in a short amount of time (using toy weapons). Then, while forced to cosplay as Card Warriors Vangamen, they face off against Team Trinity Dragon in a battle of wits. Finally, Chrono cardfights the "final boss", Daigo. Learning from Daigo's words, Chrono regains his resolve and wins against him. With that, TRY3 officially completes the Zoo branch's G Quest.

#27 - Enishi vs. Am
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 7 - Episode 15
To prevent Luna from being sacrificed for the Company's project, Am cardfights Enishi. She resolves herself to save Luna even if it means losing the chance to revive her parents. On the other hand, Enishi reveals his past in which he and a female friend suffered from a disease. He swore to protect her, but the girl eventually died while Enishi lived, which he thinks her life was given to save his. Believing that Luna's sacrifice is necessary for the sake of a better future, Enishi defeats Am and banishes her from the Company.
#28 - Vanguard Girls' Meet
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 6 - Episode 16
To help Luna's relationship with Am, Tokoha and Kumi get them together and have a fun day just for the girls. Later on, Tokoha and Am have a cardfight after a disagreement over their favorite food toppings, and Kumi and Luna join in the fight. By the end of the day, Luna and Am's friendship deepens, but Am is reminded of a terrible accident that happened when she was 5 years old.

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 6 - Episode 18
TRY3's next venture in the G Quest is at the new and improved United Sanctuary Branch, which is now under the management of Ren Suzugamori and Team AL4. Making their way through a qualifying team tournament, TRY3 earns the right to play against AL4 in a relay cardfight. Amazingly, Tokoha defeats both Kyou and Asaka but must now face Ren.
#30 - An Ill-Tempered Visitor
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 7 - Episode 7
The attack on the Dragon Empire Branch left many people hospitalized, including Mamoru and Kouji. Tokoha blames herself by thinking if she had stopped Am and Luna, then this incident would not have happened. Tokoha is then approached by Rin Hashima, who challenges her to a cardfight. Tokoha is too sad to fully focus on the battle, but when Rin defeats her, she snaps out of her depression and is glad to see that all of the patients are recovering. Later, Chrono confronts Ryuzu again and challenges him...

#31 - Rive and Ryuzu
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 7 - Episode 12
Shin tells Chrono about his past with Rive. Back then, Shin was part of Team Nippon along with Mark Whiting and Rive, who was also the team's mentor. Together, they won the national Vanguard tournament and were invited to the world championship. Around the same time, Rive was also spending time with Ryuzu, which Shin did not like because it was taking time away from training. One day, Shin met Ryuzu and had a cardfight with him; if Shin won, then Ryuzu would not be allowed to see Rive. Although Shin won, Rive still kept meeting with Ryuzu. Eventually, Shin realized the likely reason why Rive kept seeing Ryuzu: they both agreed on and pursued the idea that Vanguard can be used to make the world a better place. Rive tells Shin about the existence of the Gear Chronicle clan and said that it was the key to change the world, which was the last memory Shin had of him.
#32 - Ryuzu Myoujin
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 7 - Episode 2
Some time has passed after Ryuzu's death. While on his way to meet with Taiyou, Chrono meets a peculiar boy who has a Gear Chronicle deck and decides to have a cardfight with him. Much to Chrono's shock, the boy reveals himself as Ryuzu Myoujin reincarnated. As the fight goes on, Ryuzu expresses more of his ideals of making the world perfect through Vanguard. After Ryuzu defeats Chrono, he tells him that his father Rive Shindou is alive and that Kouji knew it all along. Before leaving the distraught Chrono, Ryuzu suggests he should join with him.
#33 - True Feelings
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 7 - Episode 21
Tokoha fights Enishi, who believes that Ryuzu's "perfect future" is the right one in which no one will be hurt. However, Tokoha tries to convince him that this future is a false one that only blinds people. She goes on by saying there may be tough times, but people can and will get through them. Defeating Enishi, Tokoha gets him to admit that even he thought Ryuzu's vision of a perfect future was wrong. Meanwhile, Am fights a projection of Luna's will, which is to make Am's wish of reviving her parents come true. Am confesses that what she truly wants is to be with Luna, even if it means having to wait longer for her parents to wake up from their comas. After Am beats the projection, the real Luna awakens.
#34 - The Last Chance
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 8 - Episode 12
Chrono's team, Striders, enters a U20-qualifying tournament held at the first Card Capital shop; this is their last chance to qualify for the U20. However, because Kazuma has not shown up yet, Chrono and Taiyou must fight their way through the tournament by themselves. Striders eventually make it to the grand finals, where they face Team Trinity Dragon. In the first game, Taiyou loses to Karl. Then, Misaki tells Chrono that if Kazuma does not appear within ten minutes, then Striders will lose by default. Thankfully, Kazuma appears at the last possible second and fights Kei in the second game.
#35 - Flames of Perdition
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 4 - Episode 22
As Kai starts a counterattack, Gaillard continues to say how Kai has no right to break the seals and free Aichi because of his sinful actions during the Link Joker incident. Gaillard further tells a story about a boy named Nicola who did not recover from the incident no matter what Gaillard did to help him. However, it was Aichi who helped Nicola, and it was then that Gaillard decided to become a Quatre Knight to serve Aichi. Despite Gaillard believing that Kai's actions will lead to world destruction again, Kai defeats him and inflicts Judgment on Gaillard. Shortly after the fight, Serra appears and traps Kai, Naoki, and Gaillard within an ice barricade. Accompanied by Moress, Serra goes to the chamber where Aichi is located and freezes the remaining seals while also revealing that everything that has happened was part of his grand scheme...

Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 4 - Episode 28
With Serra gone, the Quatre Knights and Kourin turn their attention towards Kai and his group. When Kourin steps up to fight, Naoki volunteers to face her. As the battle continues, Kourin reveals how she came to be by Aichi's side. She resolved to support Aichi by absorbing the seed's power whenever it would try to seep out of Aichi; Kourin's absorption resulted in her being able to use Link Joker for herself. Nonetheless, Naoki is determined to bring both Aichi and Kourin back and reform the Cardfight Club. He defeats Kourin, who is about to fall over but is saved by Aichi. After Kourin faints, Aichi and Kai stare intensely at each other...
#37 - Shion Kiba
Cardfight!! Vanguard - Season 5 - Episode 4
At Card Capital 2, Chrono receives an envelope from an anonymous person that contains a new Gear Chronicle card. He then accepts a quest from a boy who wants to get a card back from his grandmother's house. Chrono meets the grandmother, Reika, and attempts to explain the situation to her, but she does not trust him. To earn her trust while also improving himself, Chrono does menial tasks for Reika such as pulling weeds from her yard and buying her groceries. When Chrono returns from shopping, he is shocked to see that Shion Kiba, a popular and athletic student/cardfighter from his school, has already acquired the requested card and also earned Reika's trust (and affection). Since Chrono was there first, Shion feels that he should have the card and tries to give it to him. However, Chrono declines, thinking Shion is pitying him. Returning to the card shop, Chrono and Shion decide to resolve things with a cardfight, with the winner ultimately getting the card to fulfill the quest. Although Shion gracefully accepts his loss, he vows to defeat Chrono when they fight next time.

Chrono meets a girl who Kamui is all too familiar with: Nagisa Daimonji. She may have matured, but her romantic feelings for Kamui have stayed strong over the years. She has even gone so far as to make a quest for fighters (Team Trinity Dragon) to get Kamui to play against her. Kamui tries his best to escape, but he is eventually cornered by Nagisa and Trinity Dragon. Chrono appears in Kamui's defense after accepting his quickly-made quest to protect him from Nagisa. However, Chrono is deceived by Nagisa's (false) "tragic love story" and sides with her while Kamui manages to enlist Trinity Dragon to his aid. After this whole debacle, Kamui finally decides to fight Nagisa. If he wins, then Nagisa will leave him alone at the shop. But if Nagisa wins, then she and Kamui will get married. Despite Nagisa's luck in getting triggers, Kamui manages to defeat her, although she will most likely return.
