Juliane confronts Klara with the physical changes that her body experiences due to the medication. Duncan has a gift for Alex. Lars's father Gregor has a new informant for the Stasi. Tobias is removed from the tunnel group and contacts Alex.

East-Berlin inspector Lars Weber is sent to West Berlin during his espionage training to make contact with the mysterious data analyst Lauren Faber, who works for the British Secret Service. His socialist father Gregor is very proud, but personal motives also play along. Lars' disillusioned uncle Conrad is struggling with his family problems, while Conrad's colleague Axel wants to break his chains with communist East Germany.
