Ryōma Echizen is a rather arrogant twelve-year-old teenager who does not have very good personal relationships with others. He used to live with his family in the United States, but after arriving in Japan (his father's native country), he must learn to adapt to his new life at Seishun Gakuen High School, where he enrolls at the "Seigaku" tennis club. From that moment on, all sorts of adventures will change his life, along with his teammates and many other characters from rival teams who will try, with better or worse fortune, to steal the title of "Prince of tennis", for his more than demonstrated great skill in this sport.
