The BBC brings to the small screen a magical adaptation of the C.S. Lewis seven-volume series The Chronicles of Narnia. The series covers the first four books over the course of three seasons with 18 thirty minute episodes. Season one brings The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe to life in a six episode installment. Season 2 covers Prince Caspian over the course two episodes, and then The Voyage of The Dawn Trader in 4 more episodes. The third season consists of a six-part adaptation of The Silver Chair. The BBC rendition of The Chronicles of Narnia first aired in 1988 and ended in 1990.

#10 - Prince Caspian (1): The Dwarf
Season 2 - Episode 1 - Aired 11/19/1989
The four Pevensie children are waiting at a train station when a magical force pulls them into Narnia. They land at an overgrown castle, which they recognize as Cair Paravel. Susan saves the life of a dwarf named Trumpkin, who is about to be drowned by two soldiers on a boat. The children tell him they are the old kings and queens of Narnia, of which Trumpkin has heard of in the Narnian legends.
#11 - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (6): Deeper Magic
Season 1 - Episode 6 - Aired 12/18/1988
Susan and Lucy spend the night at the Stone Table with Aslan's body. At dawn, the Stone Table cracks in half, and Aslan comes back to life. He explains there is a deeper magic that states, "If a willing victim who has committed no treachery is killed in a traitor's stead, the Stone Table will crack, and death itself will be denied." The two girls jump on Aslan's back and fly to the White Witch's house, where Aslan's restores all the Witch's victims — including Tumnus — back to life from their stone forms.

Season 1 - Episode 4 - Aired 12/4/1988
The beavers and the children are preparing for their journey to the Stone Table. The White Witch orders Maugrim to go to the beavers' house to kill everyone there, but when they arrive, they find the house empty. Along their journey, Peter, Susan and Lucy unexpectedly meet Father Christmas, who presents the children with gifts. As they continue the journey, the snow around them melts, making way for spring.
#13 - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (3): Where's Mr Tumnus?
Season 1 - Episode 3 - Aired 11/27/1988
Peter, Susan, Lucy and Edmund venture on to try and rescue Mr. Tumnus and meet the beavers who have some good news for them. Meanwhile, Edmund has mixed loyalties — he just doesn't believe that the White Witch is as bad as the animals say she is.

After being given a task by the White Witch, Edmund finds Lucy again, and they return to their own world. Edmund lies to Peter and Susan, saying that Narnia was a game he and Lucy were playing. Will Lucy's story ever be believed, and will the children all finally get into Narnia?

Season 1 - Episode 1 - Aired 11/13/1988
It's 1940, and the Pevensie children, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, have been sent to stay in the countryside where they will be safe, away from the war. Their home for the duration is a huge rambling mansion that the children cannot resist to explore, during which Lucy stumbles across an old wardrobe which hides a magical secret.

Season 1 - Episode 5 - Aired 12/11/1988
Arriving at the Stone Table, the children are welcomed warmly by Aslan. However, Maugrim appears soon afterwards and terrifies the crowd, only to be slain by Peter. Knowing that the White Witch is nearby, Aslan sends his creatures to rescue Edmund. Later, the White Witch herself arrives at the Stone Table, demanding that Edmund be given to her, as all traitors in Narnia belong to her.
